The CW's 'The 100' Prequel Series Gets New Update & It's Promising!

The 100 fans, don’t fret, the prequel series is STILL happening!!

We’ve had periodic updates here and there since the original series ended, and we have another new update.

The CW’s Mark Pedowitz shared a brief mention on the prequel and if we can still expect it during a press briefing on Tuesday (May 25).

“I bet you’re gonna be shocked by this: There are still discussions going on,” he said, via Variety. “It is not done in any way shape or form, but there’s discussions still happening.”

Back in January 2021 was the last update, with Mark assuring fans that the prequel is still in the works, though it was “definitely delayed.”

A backdoor pilot for the potential new series aired in July 2020 during The 100‘s final season, and The 100 showrunner Jason Rothenberg dished in October on if any of the original characters would appear in the prequel.
