'Riverdale' Cast Officially Wraps Production on Season 5!

While some of the actors have already finished filming, production on Riverdale season five has officially wrapped!

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared the news with a cast photo on his Instagram account.

“Aaaand that’s a wrap on Season Five of #Riverdale,” he captioned the group pic. “So grateful to everyone who worked on this crazy show this crazy year, under crazier-than-usual circumstances.”

“All the writers and directors and editors. And especially our tireless, amazing all-star cast and our beyond heroic crew, who somehow kept the ship on course. (Special shout-out to @robingivens for bringing us home.) Really excited about our next batch of episodes. They’re some of the best we’ve done. And after that, a break. And after that…💥🚀💋🔥💃🏾👯‍♀️🌪🤡👽👀👫👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏽👠🕷🐍🦂🦋🐀🍒🍔❤️‍🩹💍🤰🏼🌊🎰,” he added.

In the photo, you can see KJ Apa, Casey Cott, Drew Ray Tanner, Vanessa Morgan, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, Camila Mendes, Camille Hyde, Erinn Westbrook, and the Pussycats – Asha Bromfield, Ashleigh Murray and Hayley Law.

Cole Sprouse wrapped earlier and has already been spotted in Los Angeles. Charles Melton also wrapped and has been in Mexico working on a new project with Tommy Dorfman. While we don’t fully know which project they are working on yet, Charles does have a movie with Sofia Carson in the works that was said to start production in May!

Last month, it was revealed that the Pussycats would be making their return in the 15th episode of the season.

Riverdale is currently on an extended hiatus from airing new episodes. The series will not return until Wednesday, August 11th.

Then, when season six premieres in the fall, it will be on a new night!
