Anxiety Is a Beast in the New Trailer for 'Turning Red' - Watch Here!

Disney and Pixar are revealing the first teaser trailer for the upcoming movie Turning Red!

The film follows 13-year-old Mei Lee, voiced by newcomer Rosalie Chiang, who suddenly turns into a giant red panda when she gets too excited.

In the clip, Mei’s mom Ming (Sandra Oh) stops by the school for a surprise visit. When she ends up getting into a scuffle with one of the school employees, Mei finds herself transforming in the middle of math class despite her best attempts to calm herself down.

Turning Red is directed by Domee Shi, the award-winning director of the short film Bao. The mini-movie also focuses on parent-child dynamics, centering on an aging and lonely Chinese-Canadian mother who is suffering from empty nest syndrome.

The animated film will be out on March 11, 2022.
