Joey will produce and develop films for Netflix through her All The King’s Horses production company, becoming one of the youngest to strike a deal with a streaming platform! Congrats Joey!!

“My relationship with Netflix started 5 years ago with me in a state of disbelief that I was getting to lead one of their first original YA films. That feeling of amazement and disbelief of working with them has only grown,” Joey shared in a statement. “I am honored to have a first look deal with a company that changed my life and lifts me up in my journey in growing as a producer. I’ve always had a lot of ideas and opinions, but now I have an outlet for those ideas and with a company that couldn’t be more collaborative. I can’t wait for us to make some movie magic happen.”

The actress is no stranger to Netflix of course. She has starred in all three Kissing Booth movies, with the third one coming out in just a month. She’s also served as executive producer on TKB2 and TKB3.

Joey is also currently filming a movie adaptation of the dystopian fantasy novel Uglies, and serves as executive producer.

Almost exactly a year ago, it was announced that Joey signed a first look deal with Hulu to bring TV shows to the platform. Through that deal, she’s set to star in and produce a limited series A Spark of Light, based off of Jodi Picoult‘s book of the same name.
