Kyle Allen To Play Romeo Opposite Isabela Merced's Juliet In 'Rosaline' Movie!

Kyle Allen has been cast in the role of Romeo for an upcoming film!

The 26-year-old actor will star opposite Isabela Merced, who will play Juliet, in the movie Rosaline, according to Deadline.

The upcoming film will actually take a different approach to the Shakespeare story, and center on Rosaline, Juliet’s cousin. Kaitlyn Dever is attached to star as Rosaline.

The movie is based on the book “When You Were Mine” by Rebecca Serle. It’s told “through the eyes of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline, a sharp but idealistic young woman – who happens to Romeo’s recent ex. What begins as an attempt to foil the famous romance and win back her guy becomes a journey of self-discovery as she ultimately works to help get the star-crossed lovers back together.”

Earlier this year, Kyle starred in The Map of Tiny Perfect Things on Prime Video, and later this year, he’ll be seen in the upcoming West Side Story remake.

Kyle is also set to star opposite Joey King in the upcoming The In Between, which will premiere on Paramount+. They just finished filming two months ago!
