'Green Arrow & The Canaries' Officially a No Go at The CW

The Arrow spinoff Green Arrow and the Canaries has officially been canned at The CW.

Fans of the possible series have been awaiting news on whether it will be picked up for months.

Green Arrow and the Canaries aired as a backdoor pilot during Arrow‘s final season, starring Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak/Green Arrow, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance and Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake.

With the official news on the spinoff, this marks the end of Arrow. Katherine has previously said that she’s not done with Mia Smoak and would still put on the suit whenever, if asked.

Though Green Arrow and the Canaries is not moving forward, there are other DC Comics series in the works at The CW – Find out about Naomi, Wonder Girl, and Painkiller.

Javicia Leslie Shares First Look Pic of Her as Batwoman

The new Batwoman has arrived!

Star Javicia Leslie shared a first look as her suited up as the superhero with a first look pic on her Instagram tonight.

“Look out, Gotham, I’m suited up and ready to go…” Javicia captioned the first look on her Instagram. “But just wait until Ryan Wilder puts her own spin on the Batsuit. @cwbatwoman”

Javicia replaced Ruby Rose in the title role but will be playing a different character on the show and not Kate Kane.

She’ll star as Ryan Wilder, who is a “girl who would steal milk for an alley cat and could also kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined. An out lesbian. Athletic. Raw. Passionate. Fallible. And very much not your stereotypical all-American hero.”

Ruby bowed out of the series after suffering an injury on set.

'The Flash' Boss Wanted to See These Other DC Characters In 'Crisis On Infinite Earths'

'The Flash' Boss Wanted to See These Other DC Characters In 'Crisis On Infinite Earths'

Crisis On Infinite Earths was the biggest crossover event in Arrowverse history!

The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace dished recently that he hoped that it would be even bigger.

Eric shared some other DC Comic characters that he would’ve liked to see in the crossover.

“We all got to that moment very early in the process where Marc [Guggenheim] encouraged stuff to say, ‘Hey, if you could see anybody you want to see in these crossovers as a cameo or maybe as a supporting role, or even as a larger role, who would it be?’” he told DiscussingFilm.

“And everybody, it was like kids in a candy store. We all started throwing out crazy ideas. I wanted to see Kevin Conroy because he was my voice of Batman and I love him so much,” Eric continued. “I threw that out and Keto from Legends went, ‘I second that!’ She was very excited because she’s a huge Batman fan.”

“So all these names are being thrown out from other people from the Batman universe to people from the Shazam TV show from the 70’s, which some of us had been familiar with as kids,” he said. “You know, the Shazam and Isis Power Hour? We’re that nerdy. We talked about how we could get actual Super Friends, the voices from the Super Friends cartoon. Everything was on the table. How could we get people from the Zack Snyder movies to kind of crossover and that was just a mad dream.”

'Supergirl' To End After Upcoming Sixth Season, Melissa Benoist Confirms

'Supergirl' To End After Upcoming Sixth Season, Melissa Benoist Confirms

Supergirl is coming to an end in 2021!

The hit CW series, starring Melissa Benoist, will end after the show’s upcoming season six.

Production on the series was pushed back for the new season due to Melissa‘s pregnancy, and it will premiere later than the rest of the Arrowverse shows.

She also took to Instagram to confirm the news.

“To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless,” Melissa wrote.

“She’s had that impact on me, too. She’s taught me strength I didn’t know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when we’re united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I’m forever grateful,” she continued.

“I’m so excited that we get to plan our conclusion to this amazing journey, and I cannot wait for you to see what we have in store. I promise we’re going to make it one helluva final season. ♥️ el mayarah 💪 @supergirlcw,” Melissa concluded.

Supergirl will now be the second Arrowverse show to end, with of course, Arrow being the first earlier this year.
