Nick Jonas In Talks To Star In 'Jersey Boys' Streaming Event

Nick Jonas could be heading back to his Broadway roots!

It’s being reported that the 28-year-old entertainer is in talks to play Frankie Valli in an upcoming streaming event of the musical Jersey Boys, according to Deadline.

Here’s a synopsis: They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story — a story that has made them an international sensation all over again.

The upcoming event is said to be similar to that of Hamilton on Disney+.

Nick, who actually started his career on the Great White Way, has previously starred on Broadway in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, as well as Annie Get Your Gun, Les Misérables, A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast. He’s also starred on the West End in Les Misérables, as well as the 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Arena.

Sabrina Carpenter Would Love to Return to 'Mean Girls' On Broadway After Pandemic

Sabrina Carpenter wants to go back to Broadway!

In a new interview, the 21-year-old actress and singer says she would love to reprise the role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls when Broadway is back in action.

If you didn’t know, Sabrina was starring in the show when Broadway shut down due to Coronavirus, and she was only able to perform two shows.

“For my personal situation, not comparing it to the rest of the world, which has also been a huge bummer,” Sabrina told AP. “It was two heavy months of really, really tough rehearsals into going to do two shows, and then having a very long break. Now at this point, I feel for the Broadway community that’s definitely at a stand still for the longest that they’ve ever been.”

“I was just so grateful that I got to even accomplish two shows before that all happened, because that was a really big dream of mine,” she continued. “I hope to go back when everything comes back. Fingers crossed.”

Congratulations are in order for Sabrina Carpenter as she’s officially a Broadway STAR and we have awesome photos and a video from her first show in Mean Girls!

The 20-year-old entertainer is playing Cady Heron in the hit musical and she took her first bow on Tuesday (March 10) at the August Wilson Theatre in New York City.

Ahead of her first performance, Sabrina informed fans that she will be unable to meet fans at the stage door due to the Coronavirus outbreak. All Broadway shows have now ended stage door activities until the outbreak is contained.

“Due to health precautions, I’m told there will be no stage door for the time being. This is for everyone’s health and safety. I still cannot wait to see you all at the show! Thank you for understanding,” Sabrina wrote on Instagram.

Not only are Broadway shows halting stage door activities, actors are not allowed to have their personal guests backstage at this time.

Ryan McCartan is returning to Broadway tonight in the musical Frozen and here’s your first look at him in costume as Hans!

The 26-year-old Liv & Maddie actor has previously been on Broadway in Wicked and he’s joining Ciara Renee as Elsa and McKenzie Kurtz as Anna.

The Broadway production will be introducing some changes that were made for the North American tour. In the show’s second act, Elsa and Anna will no longer sing the “For the First Time in Forever” reprise and they’ll instead perform the new duet “I Can’t Lose You.”

Kristoff, who is currently being played by Noah J. Ricketts, will also get a reprise for his song “What Do I Know About Love?” to express his growing feelings for Anna.

Anna’s second act solo song “True Love” has been cut and the act two opening number “Hygge” is being trimmed.

Ciara is best known for her work on The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and The Flash. She has been seen on Broadway in Pippin and Big Fish. McKenzie is making her Broadway debut!

Cameron Dallas Is the Next Aaron Samuels in 'Mean Girls' on Broadway!

Cameron Dallas is set to play the role of Aaron Samuels in the Broadway production of Mean Girls!

The 25-year-old social star is going to make his Broadway debut for a limited run in the hit musical.

Cameron will be filling in for original cast member Kyle Selig during his leave of absence for four weeks starting January 14.

“Cameron is a tremendously talented young performer,” the show’s producers said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the cast of Mean Girls and know he will be as captivating on stage as he is on screens all over the world.”

Jordan Fisher Heads Back To Broadway For Starring Role in 'Dear Evan Hansen'

Jordan Fisher is heading back to Broadway in Dear Evan Hansen!

The 25-year-old actor, singer and dancer will star as the title character in the musical, beginning Tuesday, January 28th for a limited 16-week engagement.

“Evan Hansen is a 16-course meal for an actor. The complexity of this boy is akin to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in my opinion,” Jordan shared in a statement about his new role.

He adds, “I doubt I’ll ever forget the first time I sat in the Music Box to see it, and the idea of being a part of that memory for others is mind-blowing. I’m so honored to join this amazing company.”

If you don’t know, Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of an anxiety-plagued high school loner named Evan who is paralyzed by the hyper-connectivity of social media and forced to watch the world from the outside looking in. Trying to improve his self-image, Evan writes himself a letter that is mistaken for a classmate’s suicide note and rides that error to popularity.

Previously, Jordan made his Broadway debut in Hamilton as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

Nick Robinson Joins 'To Kill a Mockingbird' on Broadway

Nick Robinson will be making his Broadway debut this fall!

The 24-yer-old Love, Simon star has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin‘s adaptation of Harper Lee‘s novel To Kill a Mockingbird.

Nick will be taking on the role of Jem Finch and will be making his debut on November 5th at the Shubert Theatre.
