A few girls came over and asked Cam for pics and of course he took them, and chatted with them for probably 20 minutes.”

Cameron Boyce‘s family is getting candid about his unexpected passing last year.

In a new interview, his parents, Victor and Libby Boyce, explained that they didn’t know epilepsy could be fatal.

“We had no idea it could be fatal, obviously. And epilepsy is so common. There’s so many people who have epilepsy but there’s so little talk about it. So little information,” Libby said during an appearance on The Doctors.

She continued, “I think it’s so important that we share our story and hope doctors who are listening and people who are living with epilepsy to get information and share information…It’s so important that people living with epilepsy or any chronic issue get armed with information. They need that.”

That’s why the Boyce family started The Cameron Boyce Foundation and teamed up with the Epilepsy Foundation to help end Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. K(NO)W SUDEP NOW aims to bring awareness and to end sudden unexpected death in epilepsy through education and helping accelerate research.

A First Look at Cameron Boyce's Final Role in 'Paradise City' Was Just Revealed

Cameron Boyce sadly passed away earlier in 2019, but he left behind a huge legacy and a handful of projects still yet to premiere – and that includes Paradise City.

The Instagram account for the series just revealed a first look at Cameron‘s character.

“Cameron Boyce stars as Simon Ostergaard, frontman for The Flux and an aspiring music industry maestro. ❤️🙏🏼 📸,” the image is captioned.

The upcoming show, which is a spinoff of the 2017 film American Satan, will follow the lives of a band that seems to have it as they collide with a young group of singers that idolize them.

Just after Cameron’s untimely passing, the show’s director, Ash Asvildsen, released a statement.

“Cameron Boyce was truly a magical soul like I have never met before on this planet. It is so rare that someone achieves all that he did at the mere age of 20 having such immense special talent yet through that crazy level of success remains so humble, charming, appreciative, kind and professional. He could sing, dance, act, he did it all with brilliance… and he had the gift of making you feel so excited to be hanging out with him anytime he was around,” he wrote.

It continued, “You impacted and inspired countless lives with your short time here on earth. It’s times when people like him are taken away from us at such a young age that we question everything about our existence. I can only choose to believe his body may be gone but his spirit is on to his next divine journey. I will be forever grateful to how Cameron made me feel on set, both while hanging out and when we were shooting. He was genuinely that wonderful of a soul.”
