Flashback Friday!

It has been exactly FIVE years since the first Descendants movie premiered on Disney Channel on July 31, 2015.

The Kenny Ortega-directed DCOM starred Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Sarah Jeffery, Mitchell Hope, Brenna D’Amico, Kristin Chenoweth and more.

Descendants brought us the songs “Rotten to the Core,” “Evil Like Me,” “Did I Mention,” “If Only,” “Be Our Guest,” “Set It Off,” and “Believe.”

Here’s a synopsis: Driven by exciting music and performance, the story is set in the idyllic kingdom of Auradon where Ben, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Beauty and the Beast), is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay, the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil and Jafar, who have been imprisoned on the forbidden Isle of the Lost for 20 years.

These villainous descendants are allowed into Auradon for the first time to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. Only time will tell if these evil teens follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents!

Joey King looks chic in her black suit while attending the launch event for Cirque du Soleil Volta on Tuesday (January 21) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old The Act actress was joined at the event by her friend Asante Blackk, the Emmy-nominated star of When They See Us.

Volta, the first sports-inspired Cirque du Soleil show, is playing under the Big Top at Dodger Stadium through March 8 and then will travel down to Costa Mesa for another month!

More stars in attendance at the event included Dianne Doan with fiance Manny Jacinto, Frankie Grande with boyfriend Hale Leon, singer Mackenzie Ziegler with Isaak Presley, Black-ish‘s Miles Brown, and Santa Clarita Diet‘s Liv Hewson.

Kenzie Ziegler and Isaak Presley are all smiles while attending the L.A. premiere of Cirque Du Soleil’s “Volta” held at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday evening (January 21) in Los Angeles.

The super cute couple were joined by fellow dancer Jayden Bartels.

Also in attendance were Miles Brown, Modern Family‘s Aubrey Anderson-Emmons and Jeremy Maguire, Frankie Grande with boyfriend Hale Leon, Asante Blackk, Liv Hewson, and engaged couple Dianne Doan and Manny Jacinto.

Sydney Park stuns in a gorgeous white dress while arriving at the 2019 Unforgettable Gala held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday night (December 14) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The former Perfectionists starlet was joined by Modern Family‘s Aubrey Anderson-Emmons and Let It Snow star Anna Akana on the red carpet.

Other stars who were seen at the show included Fresh Off The Boat brothers Ian Chen, Hudson Yang, and Forrest Wheeler, Abominable‘s Chloe Bennet, Good Trouble‘s Sherry Cola, and Miya Cech.

Dianne Doan and her longtime love Manny Jacinto are engaged!

The 29-year-old Descendants actress and the 32-year-old The Good Place actor recently took the next step in their relationship and it happened in the cutest way!

Manny revealed that he was inspired by his The Good Place character to finally pop the question.

“I was toying when to pop the question for a long time. I looked at the Janet/Jason relationship, and there’s a sentence that Jason says to Chidi about relationships and it hit me pretty hard. I thought it was a sign that I needed to do it, and a week later I popped the question,” Manny said at the 2019 Vulture Festival (via People).

He continued, “I took her to places that really meant a lot to us. Where I first met her, where I first saw her, where we had our first date, and where we had our first dance class. I had these canvas things written down with a message saying why the places were important to us. At every location I had her close her eyes, I’d hold up the canvas, and she would open her eyes.”

“I took her through five different places, and at the last place I had our families waiting and I proposed,” Manny concluded.

So sweet! Congrats Manny and Dianne!
