The 29-year-old Descendants actress and the 32-year-old The Good Place actor recently took the next step in their relationship and it happened in the cutest way!
Manny revealed that he was inspired by his The Good Place character to finally pop the question.
“I was toying when to pop the question for a long time. I looked at the Janet/Jason relationship, and there’s a sentence that Jason says to Chidi about relationships and it hit me pretty hard. I thought it was a sign that I needed to do it, and a week later I popped the question,” Manny said at the 2019 Vulture Festival (via People).
He continued, “I took her to places that really meant a lot to us. Where I first met her, where I first saw her, where we had our first date, and where we had our first dance class. I had these canvas things written down with a message saying why the places were important to us. At every location I had her close her eyes, I’d hold up the canvas, and she would open her eyes.â€
“I took her through five different places, and at the last place I had our families waiting and I proposed,†Manny concluded.
“I went behind all your backs and secured the girl. 9/12/19,” Nate Garner shared with his 2.4 million Instagram followers along with a photo of the proposal.
“The greatest heist of all time,” he continued. “I stole a girl’s heart that is WAY out of my league and I still can’t believe she’s all mine. Karissa. Marie. GARNER? I f–king love you â¤ï¸.”
