The tension between Callie and Mariana is back in full force in the latest teaser for Good Trouble.

In one of the newest visuals for the upcoming season, you can still feel the huge tension between Mariana and Callie.

“What are you doing here?” Mariana asks Callie in one moment, as she runs into her in the hallway at The Coterie, and Callie has no answer to it.

Good Trouble season 2B picks up much later, after the holiday special, and will premiere on Wednesday, January 15th at 10pm on Freeform.

The second half of Good Trouble‘s season two is right around the corner!

The Freeform show is giving our first look into the upcoming episodes, and brace yourself for the DRAMA.

“Someone’s not making it out of Season 2,” the series’ captioned a new trailer.

After a fan was confused about the timing of the new eps, they cleared it up in case you were confused, with the holiday flashback.

“the Good Trouble Season 2 return will take place after the Christmas Special, right where we left off in the Summer Finale,” they wrote.

Good Trouble season two will return on Wednesday, January 15th at 10pm on Freeform!

Cierra Ramirez is dropping little hints about what’s ahead on Good Trouble when the show returns for season 2B in January.

While the holiday special that aired earlier this week was a flashback moment, the series will pick up right where they left off – with Callie moved out of the Coterie and still at odds with Mariana.

“At the end of the day, these girls really love and need each other, and I don’t think they understand that right now,” Cierra said of Mariana and Callie’s strained relationship to PopSugar. “It’ll be interesting to see how that progresses and [how they come to] that realization during the rest of the season.”

She also opened up about Mariana’s work life, which could also be in jeopardy.

“Things are gonna be shaken up for sure. We saw Mariana announce she was the one to release [the employee salary information exposing the pay gap between men and women], but now people are investigating, and it’s put fear in a lot of the employees,” Cierra says. “But Mariana will continue to make as much progress as she can with [the Byte Club] because it means a lot to all the women.”

Good Trouble is back on January 15th on Freeform.

The Good Trouble Christmas special aired this week and the big question remains if Callie and Jamie got engaged.

In the first previews, we saw that Jamie had a ring and looked like he was about to propose.

While Jamie didn’t propose, executive producer Joanna Johnson dishes that it could happen in the upcoming second half of season two.

“We’ll find out. That’s what I’ll say. It’s our little [cliffhanger]. He does have a ring. So it may not be now, but it might be soon. We’ll definitely answer those questions in [Season] 2B,” she told TV Line.

Callie already looks over the Christmas holiday in this still from tonight’s Good Trouble holiday special.

Executive Producer Joanna Johnson opened up in an interview with TVLine, revealing that the special is actually a flashback and happens before Callie and Mariana had their fallout.

“We pick up at the end of Season 2A, and we flash back to Christmas, which happened between Episodes 15 and 16 in our timeline,” she explains. “So Callie and Mariana are still living in the Coterie, they’re still living together, they haven’t had their big blowout.”

She adds that they did this “because we didn’t want to have a cliffhanger…that we had to deal with in the Christmas episodes since they air in between Season A and Season B. So we did it as a flashback. That way, we could just have a Christmas show that wasn’t dealing with all these big ends that we need to tie up.”

The gang is all back together in the new trailer for Good Trouble‘s holiday special!

In the first hour, “Nochebuena,” The Fosters visit the Coterie for Christmas and Callie struggles to tell her moms about quitting her clerkship, while Mariana agrees to volunteer for a holiday festival for the underprivileged. Alice is hiding a secret from the Coterie, and Davia strolls down memory lane with Dennis, opening old wounds.

Then, in hour two, “A Very Coterie Christmas,” the Fosters and the Hunters help out with the impromptu volunteer Christmas event. Stef agrees to be a part of Mariana’s plan to avoid a major catastrophe, all while Gael and Jazmine deal with a painful family decision.

And, Jamie is eager to ask Callie a very important question.

The two hour special will air on Monday, December 16th on Freeform, during the network’s 25 Days of Christmas.
