Zoey lets Ana know that she now knows about her and Aaron in this new promo for the upcoming episodes of grown-ish.

While Zoey recites the girl code over a voice over, Ana points out that Aaron was never Zoey’s boyfriend at all.

“If you’re asking as Francia, I would have never messed around with anyone my friends ever even liked,” Francia Raisa recently shared about the iffy situation the three are going through. “Back when I was single, even if a friend thought a guy was cute, I backed off. So I have my own feelings about what Ana is doing, but I also understand that she’s very young.”

She added, “As Francia watching it, I’m like, ‘Ana, what are you doing? Your friend liked him. And he was kissing another girl in front of her when she still liked him!’”

The upcoming episodes will continues to explore important topics, including cultural appropriation, mental health, academic scandal and more.

Good Trouble and grown-ish are coming back sooner than you think!

Freeform announced this afternoon that both hit series would return in June for their mid-season premieres.

The second half of grown-ish‘s season three will be back on Wednesday, June 5th.

After a cliffhanger spring finale, Zoey and her friends find themselves at dramatic crossroads in their relationships, academics and adulthood. The second half of the season continues to explore important topics, including cultural appropriation, mental health, academic scandal and more.

Good Trouble‘s second season will kick off on Tuesday, June 18th.

The series will continue its’ stories of Callie, Mariana and the residents of The Coterie was they navigate the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles.

Zoey (Yara Shahidi) gets a lecture from her dad in this new still from tonight’s all-new grown-ish.

In “Face the World”, Zoey has to deal with the repercussions of her previous academic decisions, after it was revealed she cheated, all while trying to prevent dad Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Pops (Laurence Fishburne) from attending CalU’s Parents Weekend.

Spoiler: A huge and important change happens. So watch this ep!

Meanwhile, everyone else has their own drama to face.

One of the biggest developments on this season of grown-ish was the pairing of Ana and Aaron.

Francia Raisa, who plays Ana, spoke with TVLine about how she personally feels about the pairing and if there’s any future for them at all.

“If you’re asking as Francia, I would have never messed around with anyone my friends ever even liked,” she admitted when asked if Ana was overthinking the relationship at all. “Back when I was single, even if a friend thought a guy was cute, I backed off. So I have my own feelings about what Ana is doing, but I also understand that she’s very young.”

Francia added, “She feels seen by Aaron at the moment, and that’s clouding her judgment. She felt like an outsider before, and now someone likes her. It’s really exciting. So I don’t think she’s overthinking it, because a part of her knows she shouldn’t be doing this.”

However, as Francia, she’s not the biggest fan of Ana starting a relationship with Aaron (Trevor Jackson), because of her friendship with Zoey (Yara Shahidi).

“As Francia watching it, I’m like, ‘Ana, what are you doing? Your friend liked him. And he was kissing another girl in front of her when she still liked him!’”

“All of these things go through my head. But for the character, I think it’s a fun little college romance,” Francia continued. “It’s a nice way for her to grow up and open her mind to things. She’s now attracted to someone who’s the complete opposite of her with such different beliefs. As a woman, regardless of how long this relationship lasts, it’s going to make her more open minded.”

In “Wild’n Cuz I’m Young”, Zoey takes a work hard, play harder approach when her midterm falls the morning after the semester’s biggest rager – which Vivek (Jordan Buhat) says is easy – and is forced to deal with the consequences.

Meanwhile, both Ana (Francia Raisa) and Nomi (Emily Arlook) find themselves facing big decisions in their new romances.

Luca and Zoey have a conversation at his art show in this still from tonight’s grown-ish.

In “Body Count”, when Zoey (Yara Shahidi) sees that Luca’s (Luka Sabbat) exhibit at the CalU Arts Fair dominantly features one of his ex-girlfriends, it sends her into a spiral of wanting to know more about his past.

Meanwhile, Nomi (Emily Arlook) takes Professor Hewson’s advice and tries to learn more about the queer community on campus.
