Joshua Bassett Spills on His Favorite 'Rini' Moments on 'High School Musical' Series

Joshua Bassett is spilling on his favorite Rini moments on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!

The 19-year-old actor shared three moments between Ricky and Nini and one of them surprised us!

Joshua explained that one of his favs is the first time Nini tells Ricky that she loves him, which ends up leading to a downward spiral in their relationship.

“The first one has got to be when Nini is showing Ricky the Instagram. That’s the scene he can’t say ‘I love you’ for so things get a little rough from there,” Joshua explained.

While that scene broke our hearts a little hit, Joshua spilled on his other favorite scenes that are a little happier!

Dara Renee Was Only Supposed To Be On One Episode of 'High School Musical'

Dara Renee wasn’t originally supposed to be a regular on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!

The 19-year-old actress auditioned for several roles on the show, starting with Ashlyn and Gina before falling in love with Courtney’s character.

“They were like, ‘The only thing is, she’s only going to be in one episode. I was like, ‘Oh shoot.’ And I felt like they already knew who they wanted for those other characters. So I was like, ‘Yikes, here we go Courtney!’” Dara explained on YSBnow: The Podcast.

She continued, “So I went for Courtney and I really vibed with her. I was like, ‘It’s okay if she’s only in one episode. I just want to experience this character.’”

After Dara did a super successful chemistry read with Olivia Rodrigo, she waited to hear back from the HSM team.

“I wanted for a month I think and they called me and they were like, ‘Okay, you got it!’ And I was like, ‘Yay! One episode, that’s okay though!’ And they were like, ‘No, no, no. Series regular! You’re going to be on the whole season!’” Dara explained.

We’re so glad we got to see Dara the entire season!

Olivia Rodrigo Reveals What Line in 'All I Want' She Resonates With the Most

Olivia Rodrigo may have written “All I Want” for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, but she still relates to the song!

The 16-year-old actress and musician says while she had her character Nini in mind, it was almost like writing a song for herself.

“I feel like Nini and I share so many experiences that I was kind of just writing as Olivia and also as Nini which is really great,” Olivia told Genius.

Olivia added that the line, “I won’t fight for love if you won’t meet me halfway,” is the part she relates to the most.

“That was the line I resonated with as Olivia the most. I feel this way in a lot of relationships. I’m a very loving person and I love doing things for people and giving all my time and energy and appreciation into one person. When that’s not given back, it’s tough,” Olivia explained.
