It was just revealed that the hit HBO series will likely be resuming production in April for season two.
According to a new casting notice, the show is looking to cast a brand new lead role with a character named Jamieson, who is described as a 17-year-old black male. Characteristics include an outsider, might have a drug problem, might not, mischievous, funny, unafraid and sensitive.
In the notice, it also reveals that those submitting themselves for the role, must be ready to start production on April 5th in Los Angeles.
This would put production back on over a year after it was shut down due to the pandemic.
The cast sat down for the first table read of the season on March 11th, then three days later, it was revealed they had to shut down. Production resumed on the show briefly later in the year, with only a few characters for two special episodes that revolved around Zendaya‘s Rue and Hunter Schafer‘s Jules.
If you still love using the wired earphones that came with your iPhone, you’re not alone. Hunter Schafer does too and fans are loving her for it!
The 21-year-old Euphoria actress was spotted three separate times this week while walking around New York City.
On all three instances, Hunter had her wired earphones plugged into her phone.
MTV’s Instagram account posted one of the photos and said, “Thank you to @hunterschafer for making me less lonely as the ONLY friend to still use wired earphones. And for keeping masked up so we can get this pandemic under control. ILY.”
Lots of fans commented on that post to say that they are still “team wired” as well, despite the surge in popularity of AirPods.
Also during the episode, fans will get to hear the new song “Lo Vas A Olvidar†by Billie Eilish and Rosalia. The track will also be available for download on Friday!
Euphoria‘s special episode will actually be premiering early THIS Friday (January 22) at 9pm ET on HBO Max, ahead of the HBO premiere on Sunday night (January 24) at 9pm ET.

Hunter Schafer got all dressed up to attend the 2021 Gotham Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday evening (January 11) in New York City.
The 21-year-old Euphoria star was one of the few in person presenters at the award show.
Hunter glammed up in a black bustier dress with silk ribbon details, and a black vintage crocodile embossed leather multilock belt from the Givenchy spring/summer 2021 collection, designed by Matthew M. Williams.
She took the stage to present the Breakthrough Series (Under 40 Minutes) award to HBO show I May Destroy You.
During a new interview with Porter magazine, Hunter opened up about how the episode came about, which she actually co-wrote with Sam Levinson.
“During quarantine, [Sam and I would] call each other and chat shit and throw ideas around. We started writing a different script and then that got put aside,†she told the mag.
“He was tossing around certain ideas and for some reason Jules was trending on Twitter. That helped us cement what we did in the end,” Hunter continued. “I helped write the final script and was there for preproduction and helped to plan out the shots and storyboard it. All that influenced the performance because I knew the script on this whole other level.â€
The episode will air on HBO and HBO Max on January 24th.

The second part of the special Euphoria episodes now has a premiere date!
It was just announced that part two will center on Jules, and it was co-written and co-produced by Hunter Schafer herself.
“F*ck Anyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob,†follows Jules (Schafer) over the Christmas holiday as she reflects on the year.
Series creator Sam Levinson, who directed and co-wrote the episode, recently opened up about working with Hunter on part two.
“I’ve been writing a movie with Hunter, which I’m very excited about, so we talk pretty often. And I called her up to get her thoughts on this episode,” he told GQ. “Several hours later, we were talking and she said something that was based on a poem she had written when she was sixteen about the ocean and its femininity and strength. And I said, ‘Well, this ought to be actual dialogue. Do you want to just write this thing together?’ Four days later, we had a draft of the episode that we co-wrote.”
“I always imagined these episodes as a two-part piece focusing on Rue and Jules separately. And there was some point in time in which I read that the character of Jules was trending on Twitter because people were debating whether she was a villain or not,” Sam added. “The idea that people could watch the show and walk away feeling that she was a villain was so appalling to me that I thought, ‘I’m gonna write an episode that forces the audience to look at the world through her eyes and understand the burden of loving an addict.’â€
Euphoria part two will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on January 24th. If it’s like part one, it might come out a couple of days early on HBO Max!
The duo joined Lil Nas X and Hunter Schafer as part of the Spring 2020 Calvin Klein Jeans & Calvin Klein Underwear “Deal With It†global advertising campaign.
“I know she has dreams, [many of] which she stated in the first episode. Which is just what I did in a way: escaping to New York, and working or interning in fashion,” Hunter explained to V Magazine.
She continued, “That was [part of the character] before I was even cast, so it was really freaky to see that written into the script. So, I feel like that’s definitely her path.”
