Here’s a synopsis: High schooler Julie (Reyes) lost her passion for music after her mom died last year. But when the ghosts of three dreamy musicians (Gillespie, Joyner, and Shada) from 1995 suddenly appear in her mom’s old music studio, Julie feels her own inner spirit beginning to reawaken, and she’s inspired to start singing and writing songs again. As their friendship with Julie grows, the boys convince her to create a new band together: Julie and the Phantoms.

The ladies reprise their Descendants 3 characters in a new Christmas song that revolves around how the characters acted in the movie and regretting their actions.

In the tune, Sarah, aka Audrey, sings about regretting being the queen of mean and going to the extreme, while Jadah, aka Celia, sings about how the two wonder if they’ll get any presents or holiday cheer.
Towards the end of the track, the girls band together and affirm that everything will be just fine.

“Descendants 3 is a really amazing story. There’s lots of people like me and Jadah, we all come over. The new VKs,” Anna says in the clip. “It’s kind of like the new generation all coming over to Auradon, just like how the core four did in the first one.”
“Celia is from the south. She’s outgoing, she wants to be like her dad, she wants to make her dad proud,” Jadah dishes about her character. “She’s just mischievous, she wants her money, and she’s all about business.”
