Rachel Platten looks so happy while on stage at the Le Vian Red Carpet Revue at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on Sunday (June 5) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 35-year-old singer discussed her music in a recent interview.
“It’s just amazing to me that something that can be so deeply personal can also be universal,” Rachel said about her hit “Fight Song.” “I’m really proud and honored.”
“I wrote my latest single, ‘Better Place,’ which will be on the radio in Boston, about [my sister and her husband],” Rachel added. “I played it for them at their wedding for their first dance. It was so amazing to get to play the song that I wrote for them, and watch them solidify this love that they built.”

The 35-year-old “Better Place” singer, wearing a Three Floor dress, performed at the event, which honors individuals who strive to help us reach the day when ZERO children die from preventable causes.
“Took my dad as my date tonight. He crushed. Thank you @unicef for allowing me to be part of such an amazing evening,” Rachel wrote on Instagram later in the night.
The two musicians teamed up for a lovely new version of her new single, “Better Place”.
“I’m so excited and proud to share this special performance of #BetterPlace with my friend @KurtSchneider!” Rachel wrote on Instagram. “We had a blast singing at the @elreytheatre on my #WildfireTour.”
Kurt added, “Rachel and her whole band, Craig, Liz, and Chris, were awesome to work with. And I’ll let you guys be the judge, but I think she sounds even better live :) Was great to be a part of it!”
Rachel Platten sets the stage on fire during her performance during the 2016 Invictus Games Orlando Closing Ceremony held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Thursday night (May 12) in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
“#invictusgames these guys are the true spirit of these games – overcoming incredible odds and fighting on,” the “Fight Song” singer wrote on Instagram afterwards. “An absolute honor to be here with you and to play for you.”
The Invictus Games are the international adaptive sporting event for wounded, ill and injured servicemen and servicewomen, both serving and Veteran. The Invictus Games 2016 highlights 500 competitors from 14 nations compete in 10 sports.
