Phoebe Tonkin Sends Sarah Jeffery Support Amid Recent 'Charmed' Reboot Drama

Phoebe Tonkin is sending support to Sarah Jeffery after her Twitter exchange earlier this week about the Charmed reboot.

If you missed it, a video went around of original Charmed stars Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan laughing and saying the new reboot “sucks.”

Sarah then retweeted the video and said that it was “sad and quite frankly pathetic to see grown women behaving this way.”

Roswell, New Mexico creator Carina Adly Mackenzie shared a long Twitter thread about reboots, and she mentioned that the showrunners of the Charmed reboot could have asked the original stars to come be a part of the reboot, but they were slamming the series from the get go.

“The whole ‘how dare they not invite us to be a part of it’ thing — uhhh, maybe because you were publicly shitting on it from the moment it was announced? Maybe if you’d waited five minutes they would have found you a great, fun way to be a part of it!” Carina wrote.

“We had so much fun finding the right ways for Shiri [Appleby] and Jason [Behr] to be a part of the new Roswell! Would I have done that if they’d condemned my project before I even shot the pilot? Uh no, I would not have … Man, I am so grateful for the kindness shown to me by members of the original Roswell cast, who I idolized when I was 12, and for the wisdom and artistry and power they’ve contributed to the reboot.”

Phoebe saw Carina‘s thread, retweeted one of her tweets, and said she was inspired by Sarah‘s response.

“This! @sarahjeffery I am so inspired by your class and elegance. I myself have been on a show that has been rebooted (not a few years after I filmed it!) and was nothing but excited and proud of the next generation of Mermaids to experience the world of H20. #charmed,” Phoebe wrote.

If you didn’t know, Phoebe‘s career started on the series H2O: Just Add Water, and a year after the show ended, a spinoff was announced called Mako: Island of Secrets, then a few years later an animated H2O premiered on Netflix.

Sarah Jeffery Thinks It's 'Sad' OG 'Charmed' Stars Continue To Slam The Reboot

Sarah Jeffery is reacting to a new video of original Charmed stars once again slamming her reboot.

The 24-year-old actress says she tried to hold back and not respond, but decided to speak out after Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan talked down on the new CW version that she stars in.

“It sucks,” Rose said in a video posted to TikTok. “I’m glad people have jobs. But it sucks.”

“You know, I saw this earlier and I refrained from saying anything. I thought, better to just let them shout into the abyss. But I do want to say, I find it sad and quite frankly pathetic to see grown women behaving this way,” Sarah reacted on Twitter.

“I truly hope they find happiness elsewhere, and not in the form of putting down other WOC. I would be embarrassed to behave this way. Peace and love to y’all,” she added.

The next morning, Sarah shared a photo of her dad with OG Charmed star Shannen Doherty and said that she was “thrilled” for her, Melonie Diaz and Madeleine Mantock.

Holly Marie has previously slammed the reboot of Charmed, as has Alyssa Milano.

'Descendants' Celebrates 5 Years Since It First Premiered!

Flashback Friday!

It has been exactly FIVE years since the first Descendants movie premiered on Disney Channel on July 31, 2015.

The Kenny Ortega-directed DCOM starred Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Sarah Jeffery, Mitchell Hope, Brenna D’Amico, Kristin Chenoweth and more.

Descendants brought us the songs “Rotten to the Core,” “Evil Like Me,” “Did I Mention,” “If Only,” “Be Our Guest,” “Set It Off,” and “Believe.”

Here’s a synopsis: Driven by exciting music and performance, the story is set in the idyllic kingdom of Auradon where Ben, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Beauty and the Beast), is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay, the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil and Jafar, who have been imprisoned on the forbidden Isle of the Lost for 20 years.

These villainous descendants are allowed into Auradon for the first time to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. Only time will tell if these evil teens follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents!

Sarah Jeffery Talks Possibilities of 'Descendants 4' OR a Spinoff!

Sarah Jeffery is dishing on Descendants!

In a recent interview promoting her new song “Even The Stars“, the 24-year-old opened up about a fourth Descendants movie, or even a spinoff.

“It’s such a cool world that they’ve created. There are so many different possibilities,” Sarah told ET. “I feel like a Descendants 4 could totally happen, but also a spinoff could happen, with new characters and new daughters and sons of princesses and princes and other villains. You really have endless possibilities there.”

“I will be forever grateful for Descendants and the family I made there and the experiences I had,” she continued. “So I would love to do something.”

“She’s kind of gone through everything. She’s been the mean girl, she’s been the heartbroken girl, and I just kind of want to see her be friends with people,” Sarah added about Audrey.

“If Audrey were to exist in another iteration of Descendants or another movie, I think that it would finally be nice for her to be a gal pal,” she said. “It’d be nice and cool. I think that would be awesome.”
