Selena Gomez is sharing some advice!

The 28-year-old Only Murders In The Building actress has shared some tips on believing in yourself when pursuing your dreams.

“It requires a check in with yourself. Why do you want to do the things that you’re doing. Are you going to be able to show up for those things? Are you patient with yourself?” Selena said at the 2020 Teen Vogue Summit.

“There are so many questions that you have to ask yourself, but at the same time, it’s equally as important to surround yourself with people who are the ones that are challenging you, the ones that are believing in you, because like I said earlier, there’s a lot of people, even to this day that, you know, say ‘no’ to me, and even when nobody you know what I mean it’s, you know, when I was younger, I had so many reasons to stop. I had so many reasons to not pick myself up and just keep going,” she continued. “But what I could never let go of, was how much I believed in myself and believed in what I was doing.”

Just last week, Selena and her beauty brand Rare Beauty won a 2020 Libby Award from PETA!

The 28-year-old actress’ Rare Beauty has been awarded the Favorite Vegan Makeup Line at PETA’s 2020 Libby Awards.

The Libby Awards celebrate celebrities, brands and companies for their commitment to animals.

Madelaine Petsch also won an award for Favorite Post for Animals, for her Instagram story post about reminding people that in regards to Tiger King, “these animals belong in the wild,” and “cubs are ripped away from their mothers at such young ages to be used in this capacity.”

Lily Collins received the Most Pawsitive Quarantine Story award for adopting her pup Redford from an animal shelter.

Grayson Dolan won Most Inspiring Act of Kindness to Animals for rescuing a drowning duckling from a lake, and Lizzo won Favorite Vegan Cooking Videos for her “good as hell” TikTok creations.

“These compassionate celebrities didn’t let the pandemic stop them from walking the walk when it comes to kindness to animals,” Marta Holmberg, PETA Senior Director of Youth Programs, said. “PETA is honoring the superstars who are leading by example and proving that helping animals can be as simple as whipping up jackfruit enchiladas or buying a vegan lipstick.”

Selena wore a face mask amid the pandemic, and has been spotted arriving to set over the few days for the shoot.

Selena will join Steve Martin and Martin Short in the upcoming Hulu sitcom, which follows three strangers (Martin, Short and Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.

Over the weekend, Selena participated in the Teen Vogue Summit, where she opened up about her Rare beauty line and her latest studio album.

Other things on her plate include Only Murders in the Building, which she says she’s “been anxious to start filming and now we get the opportunity safely to do it, so I’m looking forward to that.”

Selena Gomez is getting back into dating!

It’s been recently reported that the 28-year-old singer and actress has gone on a few dates with Jimmy Butler, sources reveal to E! News, and she thinks “he’s a great guy.”

“They hung out a few times while Selena was in New York City. Jimmy asked her to go to dinner and they had a great time,” the source told the site. “It’s very casual and she’s open to seeing where things go, but isn’t settling down just yet.”

Jimmy is a 31-year-old NBA basketball player, who currently plays small forward and shooting guard for the Miami Heat.

Though they have been on a few dates, Selena has been taking her health seriously amid the pandemic.

“Selena has been very careful with her health this year and has barely left her quarantine bubble,” the source added. “She’s been extremely busy working from home on her new beauty line and is very proud to have launched that during a pandemic. She’s been enjoying cooking at home and only seeing a select few friends and family members regularly.”

Selena Gomez is opening up about her Rare Beauty line.

The 28-year-old shared that she doesn’t think that it would have been able to be released a few years ago.

“The goal is to be behind something that is much bigger than ourselves, which is all about understanding each other and our differences, and being okay with that,” she told People. “I definitely don’t feel like Rare Beauty would be out in the world had it been maybe three, four years ago. Because I understood what it was like to feel on the other side of comparing myself, or thinking I need to look more like this or more like that, to fit in or whatever.”

“It can take a toll on you for sure, just spending so much time doing what you’re doing and I think that Rare Beauty definitely hit that for me,” she continued. “Which was, we’re not all like a certain way, we’re not meant to be a certain way. That’s not exactly a lot of the goals, or a lot of the aspirations that people have may not be realistic, just because of photoshop of you think you’re seeing something.”

“So I think, yes, it’s fair to say that I’m one thousand percent on the journey with the consumers and my people, so I’m with them through all of it,” Selena said. “It’s not easy for everybody.”

“I think I’m still going to be a work in progress, so I’m definitely not the kind of person that’s like, ‘Everything’s great!’ I think there’s still so much that I’m figuring out and there is so much that I’m learning, and this has been a huge year for that,” she added.
