We almost forgot The Fosters‘ Stef and Lena’s one-year anniversary!
The couple, played by Teri Polo and Sherri Saum, celebrated their anniversary earlier this week and we have to send them the best of wishes!
Sherri, who in real life just welcomed twin sons John Rubén and Michael Luís earlier this summer, spoke with People mag about being a new mom, how The Fosters prepared her for motherhood and more. Check it:
On her sons’ names: “At first we were trying to get creative with their first names but ultimately we decided that they already have a lot to live up to with their last name being de los Reyes (of the kings)!”
On “Aunt Teri”: “She really is. She was the boys’ first visitor in the hospital after my family! She’s such an effortless mother, she’ll come over and snatch one of the boys and just go change his diaper when needed – she’s a natural. And they can’t take their eyes off her. Michael flirts shamelessly with her.”
On what the show taught her about being a mom: “The show deals a lot with sacrifices that you make as parents and how no love is stronger than that of a parent and child – all that unconditional stuff. And I get that now more than ever.”
The whole family gathers together for breakfast in this new still from The Fosters.
In “Truth Be Told”, Callie (Maia Mitchell) frets about the anxiety her recent decisions have caused Jude (Hayden Byerly) while Emma (Amanda Leighton) second-guesses her breakup with Jesus (Jake T. Austin), putting him in an awkward position with a new love interest and with Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), who becomes unwillingly involved in his dilemma.
Stef (Teri Polo) struggles with her suspicions about Mike (Danny Nucci) and debates moving forward with her investigation into Ana’s disappearance; and when Brandon’s (David Lambert) bandmates take him on a hike for some “special” inspiration, Brandon opens up to an unexpected confidant about his past transgressions.
“Truth Be Told” airs TONIGHT, Monday, July 14th @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC Family.
