Tom Parker has revealed some heartbreaking news.

The 32-year-old former The Wanted band member has an inoperable brain tumor, and he’s undergoing treatment.

“Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why,” he wrote on Instagram. “There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.”

“We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way,” Tom continued.

“We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options. It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this. Tom and Kelsey xxx”

Tom and his wife Kelsey, who is pregnant with their second child, spoke with OK! Magazine UK and shared that he has a “stage four glioblastoma and they’ve said it’s terminal.”

Tom‘s former bandmates have commented on his Instagram and shared their own posts sending their love and support to their friend.

“You’ve always been one in a million. 🙄 I love you Tom, let’s get popping 💪,” Jay McGuiness commented.

“❤️Let’s do this lad❤️love you buddy🙏🏼,” Siva Kaneswaran wrote.

The Wanted disbanded in 2014 and there have been little talks of a reunion ever since.

In a new interview with Billboard, the guys – Nathan Sykes, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Jay McGuiness – open up on if that’s actually possible.

Spoiler: it is, but without Nathan.

“I think in terms of doing more as The Wanted in the future… personally speaking, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been as an artist at this time in my life,” Nathan shares. “So it isn’t something that I would consider, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that the other four have talked about it.”

While not really wanting to get back together with the band, Nathan does say that he’d still be front row if and when they do perform together again.

“I’d go to the gigs, I’d be singing along, and I would love nothing more than if the four boys want to do that,” Nathan says. “I think that would be absolutely amazing. But just at the moment, I think I’ve found my place as an artist, and I think to kind of go back on that would be changing my path very abruptly.”

He continues, “That doesn’t mean to say that I’m not massively grateful for everything that happened with The Wanted, and it doesn’t change how I look back at the band or my fondness of the band or the fans. It just means that I’m on a path and to change that would be very abrupt.”

Tom and Max are in a never say never type of mood about it.

“Whenever we talk, we always kind of come back ‘round to [The Wanted], even if it’s just for 10 seconds, like, ‘Boy I’d like to do it again, wouldn’t you?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah I would.,’” Max says about his phone conversations with Tom.

He adds, “I’d be completely open to it, because I absolutely adore the boys, and why not. I’d love to experience that again — even if I am a few years older.”

The 27-year-old former The Wanted singer dropped a new track — “Lost In Your Love” — last week and we may have already listened to it about 20 times.

“I said from the start I wanted to separate myself as a vocalist and a producer,” Tom shared with DigitalSpy. “You have to do that for what you want to achieve. When you’ve been in a band, if you sing on all your records, you then just become a singer…”

He added about choosing to sing the track himself, “It was one of those things where I vocaled it and I kinda thought it sounded pretty good the way it is. It was never my intention to be on it.”

Jay McGuiness dips partner Aliona Vilani as they open up the second day of the premiere of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night (September 26).

The 25-year-old singer and Aliona danced a Cha Cha to Human Nature‘s “Reach Out, I’ll Be There” and picked up 27 points.

Jay‘s former Wanted bandmates, who weren’t able to be there in person, sent out supportive tweets after seeing him on the program. Check them out below:

“There is no one to hide behind anymore! It’s so exciting though. I have an amazing team and I get to be really involved in the whole process and I can’t wait to get back out on stage again,” the 21-year-old former Wanted singer shared with HungerTV about his solo career.

Nathan added, “It’s like a second, first impression and whereas I don’t necessarily think it’s important to change people’s perceptions, I do think it’s exciting that people won’t just see me as ‘the young one in The Wanted’ and can have the freedom to judge me as an individual and not just ‘that bloke from that band’.”

The Wanted‘s Siva Kaneswaran gives a peace sign to the cameras as he arrives back at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (December 8).

The 26-year-old singer joined Jay McGuiness and Max George at the airport after performing in Mexico over the past weekend.

“You know the world thought, ay we split! We actually just went on a long break and I keep on saying it, and everyone just thinks, ‘Oh my god they split up oh my god!’ [Laughs], when it really is just that we needed a break,” Siva dished to Latina recently about the band’s break.

He continued, “What I think personally, and this is just me saying this, I think that we will get back together at some point – maybe this year. And I can tell you now, if we do come back, we’re coming back stronger than we were before. You know, with better music, and we’d look even hotter than we did three years ago [Laughs]. There’s no way we can’t. I can tell you now; I would look absolutely hotter than I did two years ago.”
