Lana Condor Is In Denial That 'To All The Boys' Is Over, Wouldn't Say No To Another Movie

The final To All The Boys movie premiered on Netflix this weekend, but Lana Condor has not fully processed that it’s over.

During a recent interview, the star of the franchise opened up about being in denial that it’s come to a close and she also opened up about the possibility of more in the future.

“I’m so in denial, I can’t even tell you how delirious and in denial I am about this ending,” she told Access. “It is completely bittersweet. I love love the world of To All The Boys and I love Lara Jean. It has been so formative in me as a young woman finding my own voice.”

“It has impacted my life in ways I could never have imagined and so it feels like a part of me is, I don’t know. It feels like part of me is breaking. It’s so sad,” she added. “You know, I feel like I had to… So, the whole wrapping process was just miserable, but I kind of was like okay. I kind of had peace with it, and then I had to do ADR and a bunch of voice over. And the final monologue of the voice over, I had to do over and over and over and over again. Everything, my heart is just breaking a little every day, and finally I was like, ‘You guys, do I have to keep going? Like it’s physically hurting me.’”

“I’m clearly not ready, but excited for what’s to come and feel very happy with the way we were able to end it,” Lana said.

She also opened up in another interview about possibly reprising the role in the future.

“I think never say never. [But] the third is all I know. To me, that’s the ending,” Lana told the New York Times. “But I would really like to see Lara Jean and Peter in their mid-to-late 20s. Like they’ve gone through college and I want to see what they’re like in the work space.”

“I have this dream that Lara Jean is working in some realm of literature, I don’t know, in New York, writing, living her life,” she added. “I personally have this feeling that they’re going to try to make it work in college, but they’re going to have to grow separately to be fully ready to come together. But I know for a fact that they’re going to get married; they’re going to live happily ever after. I just think they might need to grow as individuals first.”

Lana Condor Took A LOT From 'To All The Boys' Set: 'I'm a Thief!'

Lana Condor reveals she’s quite the thief!

The 23-year-old star of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise opened up about what she’s taken from set.

“I’m a thief, I’m a thief, I’m surprised production hasn’t come for me. I’ve taken so much,” Lana told Australian radio host Smallzy. “I took a lot of letters that Peter wrote to Lara Jean. I took a lot of pictures that were in her bedroom as physical, you know, physical pieces of my heart. So I stole quite a bit, but you know what? I also, I feel like it’s mine.”

She also shared that though this is the last movie, she would like to see the characters as adults, in their 30s.

“To the best of my knowledge, this is the last instalment, and I’m very, very happy with the way that we ended,” Lana said. “You know, I’d love to see them like in their 30s, I’d love to see them go live their lives, actually pay their taxes, and they’d be like, oh wow adulthood that’s hard, remember when it was all about writing letters?”

To All The Boys: Always and Forever is NOW streaming on Netflix!

In case you missed it, it was recently announced that Lana will star in and executive produce a new series for Netflix. Find out more here…

Madeleine Arthur Teases Peter & Lara Jean's Relationship In Final 'To All The Boys' Movie

Madeleine Arthur is dishing on the upcoming third To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before!

The 23-year-old actress stars as Chris, Lara Jean’s bestie, in To All The Boys: Always and Forever.

Madeleine recently opened up about how fans will be pleased with the series’ ending, including Peter Kavinsky and Lara Jean’s fate.

“She’s following her dreams and her aspirations. I think it’s the right choice for her,” she told People.

“Without giving too much away, there are a few changes in terms of continuing the flow and the adaptation from book to film, but the essence of the story is 100 percent there,” Madeleine added to Hollywood Life. “I think they’ll really enjoy how it ends.”

“I think Chris thinks that they stand a really good chance,” she continued. “She’ll be supportive no matter the outcome because that’s her friendship with Lara Jean. She’ll be there for her no matter what ends up happening in the end.”

“I think that they could survive college. I think we definitely see how in love they are. They are still young, but I do think that they have a good chance. I guess we’ll need a fourth movie to really find out.”

Lana Condor Admits She Was Really Burned Out After 'To All The Boys' Success

Lana Condor is opening up about her mental health following the first To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before movie.

The 23-year-old actress and star of the franchise admitted that the success following the film caused her to become burned out.

“I was just saying yes to everything because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you want to capitalize on it, and you want to feel like you’re fully embracing everything,” Lana shared with SELF magazine. “But I’ve never felt more horrible mentally. I was so burned out … I would go home at night and I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I would shake going to bed and shake waking up because it was just so much stimulation.”

She also opened up about how her boyfriend Anthony De La Torre has been very supportive, and what she would tell Lara Jean about a significant other.

Anthony, every night or every morning, folds my PJ’s and tucks them under my pillow so that I don’t have to go looking for them,” Lana said. “That to me is the biggest expression of love. That’s so much better than, I don’t know. A hot air balloon.”

“He’s been there and supportive,” she continued. “Never once has he ever held me back. He always just wants the best for my future. He wants to be a part of it. That’s what I would say to [my character] Lara Jean: If someone’s making you choose [between them and] your career or your future and your success and your path and your journey, that’s probably not the right person to be with.”
