Laura Marano Gives Fans Update on 'Saving Zoe' Movie with Sister Vanessa

Just over a year ago, Vanessa and Laura Marano announced that they were officially making a movie together.

Saving Zoe is based on the Alyson Noel novel of the same name.

It will center on “sisters, Echo and Zoe, a year after Zoe’s murder. Now, Echo is still reeling from the aftermath — her parents are numb, her friends are moving on, and the awkward start to her freshman year proves she’ll never live up to her sister’s memory. Until Zoë’s former boyfriend Marc shows up with her diary.”

In a Facebook chat, Laura provided a little update for all the fans curious about when the movie is actually going to get made and released.

“It looks like it’s happening this year,” she told everyone.

Laura also warned big fans of the book that it might be a little different than the book too. “But, only a little.”
