Scotty McCreery Is 'So Proud' Of All Of Lauren Alaina's Success

Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery will never ever stop being our favorite American Idol friendship.

The two country singers, who came in 1st and 2nd on the show’s 10th season, were supportive of each other then, and still are today.

Speaking with Nash Country Daily, Scotty opened up about Lauren‘s recent success after having her “Road Less Traveled” single go to #1 on the charts.

“After ‘Road Less Traveled’ went No. 1, I texted Lauren and let her know how proud I was of her,” he shared.

“We went through something together with Idol that no one will ever truly understand. It was a blast and fun, but they definitely put us through the wringer, so to go through that with her, she’ll always be kind of a sister to me.”

So sweet!

Scotty adds that while the two don’t talk as much, they are still really good friends.

“She’s such an awesome person. And, in my opinion, she’s got one of the best dang voices in Nashville. She’s a powerhouse,” he said. “I’m so proud of her to get that No. 1. It kind of validates everything we did on Idol, and it’s so cool to see that success for her.”
