Jade Pettyjohn Joins Hulu's 'Little Fires Everywhere' Adaption
Jade Pettyjohn just keeps booking the most amazing roles!
The 18-year-old former School of Rock actress is set to star in Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere series, based on the book from Celeste Ng.
The series is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Kerry Washington’s Simpson Street and ABC Signature Studios. Liz Tigelaar will serve as creator, showrunner and executive producer.
Little Fires Everywhere follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.
Jade will star as the popular, smart, bossy, and driven Lexie Richardson.
She’s also determined to follow in her mother’s footsteps (Witherspoon). She sees things in black and white and her biggest personal hardships have been not being allowed to get her bellybutton pierced and getting a Ford Explorer that was last years’ model.
She has her entire future with her boyfriend, Brian, planned out. First Yale, then marriage, then settling down in Shaker just like her mother did…until her plans and sense of self are upended by a new family who moves to town.
