There's no plans we've heard of to bring Stinger or Stature, the superhero alter ego of Cassie Lang, to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, Emma Fuhrmann is ready to suit up anyhow.
Speaking with IBT, the 18-year-old actress opened up about playing Ant Man's daughter and bonding with Paul Rudd off screen, too.
“I Wikipedia’d Cassie Lang and I learned about the character herself from the comics and the films there," she shared on how she prepared to play the role. "On top of that, I went back and watched every single Marvel film in order. I’m proud to say in order.
Emma is also ready to step into the shows of Stinger and Stature: "I think it would be a complete dream come true to be a superhero. I just think having girls see more and more female superheroes nowadays is just so empowering, and I would love to be a part of that.â€
She also spoke about bonding with Paul off screen about social media.
“He’s just a great person to look up to. He told me just know your worth and stay true to who you are,†she says. “We talked about social media and how he doesn’t have any. He said he doesn't want to, because he doesn’t have time and he doesn’t want to have to be faced with so much negativity.â€
Emma adds, “I’m lucky that the people on my social media who follow me are so kind and supporting, but there is a lot of negativity on social media. So we just talked about how to combat that, and especially in this industry too.â€
