Becky G Reveals Why She Titled Her Debut Album 'Mala Santa'

Becky G holds hands with Sebastian Lletget as they leave the 2019 Latin AMAs after party at Avenue in Los Angeles on Thursday night (October 17).

The 22-year-old singer wore a hot off the shoulder dress as she and Sebastian headed back home after an amazing night at the awards, and just before her debut album was released.

Becky recently spoke with Billboard on why she named her album Mala Santa, which translates to bad saint.

“Everybody met me at such a young age and I went from that transition of that young sweetheart that everybody first met to woman, in front of everyone, and it wasn’t the easiest transition,” she says. “It was hard for some people to accept…but I think people now understand and see that I am still very much so that sweetheart, that little angel that they first met, I’ve just grown up into a woman.”
