Derek Hough Reveals Hardest Part of Being a Judge On 'Dancing With The Stars'
Derek Hough is opening up about Dancing With The Stars!
The 35-year-old pro dancer turned judge is dishing on what’s difficult about being a judge as a former pro.
He also revealed if he’ll have hit the stage as a pro again…
Find out what he said…
“The hardest part about [being a judge is] just keeping what I’m trying to say [to] 20 seconds because it’s live,†he told Us Weekly. “That’s been really difficult, especially because I want to help, but I want to coach, so I want to be like, ‘All right, so here’s what we’re going to do.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh wait, we can’t do that.’ I just gotta give a general critique.â€
As for returning to the ballroom, the six time, Emmy award winning champion shared that he would never say never to competing again.
“When Tom Brady won a seventh Super Bowl, I was like, ‘Oh no, do I need to go for seven here?” he joked. “No, I think — who knows? I never say never, but for right now, I’m looking forward to going back as a judge.â€
If you remember, Derek stepped in as a judge on the last 29th season as Len Goodman was unable to travel back to the US from the UK because of travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
He did, however, take to the dance floor for a special number with girlfriend Hayley Erbert!
Derek‘s six DWTS wins were with, in order, Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley and Bindi Irwin.
