Producer Diplo Calls Out Taylor Swift Again: 'Kids Don't Want To Listen To' Her Music
Producer Diplo is definitely not a Taylor Swift fan.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the producer opens up about music streaming and mentions Taylor’s new single “Look What You Made Me Do” as something that kids don’t want to listen to.
“Music is in the hands of the kids,” he explained. “Streaming is literally what kids want to listen to over and over again. They want to listen to ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Bodak Yellow.’ They don’t want to listen to, like, ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’ That music doesn’t relate to them at all. I don’t think it ever did.”
He adds, “They were only given that by radio and marketing budgets. I’m impressed with Post Malone. I can relate to him more than Taylor Swift.”
And as you would expect, Swifties aren’t happy about his comments:
Hi @diplo, stop using Taylor Swift's name to be relevant. She's not on your level and you will NEVER reach her level. Nice try.

Diplo gets more attention from talking about Taylor Swift than he does from his music and that’s the tea

Diplo going against Taylor Swift is such a obvious fame grab I can't

Shout out to this fan, though, who proved that Taylor‘s song IS 100% relatable to undermine Diplo:
