Cameron Monaghan Reveals Why He's Coming Back To 'Shameless' Now

Cameron Monaghan look super sharp in his blue suit while arriving for the FOX TCA All-Star Party on Wednesday night (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 25-year-old actor was joined by his Gotham co-stars Camren Bicondova and David Mazouz as they promoted the final season of the Fox series.

Just a few days before, it was announced that Cameron would be returning to Showtime’s Shameless, just months after what was said to be his final episode.

“It got to the point where I wanted to step away for creative reasons as well as business, which many other actors had done on the show years earlier,” Cameron shared about his initial exit.

But now, he’s ready to come back.

He added, “I took some time away, and I talked to John Wells, the showrunner, about possible things we could do with the character [Ian] in the future, and we got to a place both creatively and financially where I felt comfortable coming back, and much of that had to do with what we were going to do with the story.”
