It was a big night for Maddie Poppe – she’s now a People’s Choice Award winner!
The 20-year-old singer was joined by boyfriend Caleb Lee Hutchinson while attending the 2018 Peoples’ Choice Awards on Sunday night (November 11) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Maddie won the award for Competition Contestant of 2018 after already winning American Idol earlier this year. She met Caleb on the show as fellow contestants.
Caleb joked on Instagram that night, “Just won the award for best non-invited Peoples Choice Award attendee!”

The 24-year-old gymnast is nominated in the Game Changer of 2018 category, and she will also take the stage as a presenter.
Earlier in the week, Aly sent a message to the gymnastics community after multiple arrests and indictments have been made the couple weeks in association with sexual assault.
“I believe this is a significant step forward that is necessary for the overall health and well-being of the sport and its athletes,” she wrote. “Change is not easy, and the unknown can be scary, but we need to do whatever it takes to ensure nothing like this ever happens again. There are so many amazing, talented, and kind-hearted people in this sport, and it’s time for them to lead us into the future!”

The show, which was untimely cancelled earlier this summer, won five nominations at the 2018 E! People’s Choice Awards – and four of them were write-in votes!
The series earned the Show of 2018, Male and Female Stars of 2018, as well as the Bingeworthy and Sci-Fi/Fantasy show of 2018 nominations. That’s insane!
Voting for the 43 categories across movies, television, music, and pop culture runs today through Friday, October 19th at 11:59pm ET.
