The world’s largest celebration of online video and digital creators, VidCon, is coming right into your homes!

Earlier this year, the 2020 VidCon was cancelled due to the pandemic, but now it will be happening all summer long with VidCon Now.

“We are excited to bring the power of VidCon to our three distinct audience-centric tracks across a variety of the world’s top digital platforms with VidCon Now,” General Manager Jim Louderback said in a statement. “VidCon has the unique opportunity during this time to bring our community of passionate fans, emerging creators, and industry professionals together for the same top tier programming you would expect from our IRL convention – delivered into the safety of everyone’s homes – for free. It also allows us to amplify and expand upon important conversations within the community thanks to participating execs, platforms, and creators.”

Creators that will be taking part in the virtual event include Brent Rivera, James Charles, Gigi Gorgeous, Emma Chamberlain, and more!

VidCon Now will begin THIS Saturday (June 20) with weekly programming from Tuesday through Saturday, FREE of charge.

“With a focus on programming that is inclusive, diverse, insightful, and fun, VidCon Now will aim to inform, entertain, and connect. Content will include virtual concerts, performances, panels, Q&As, meet & greets, networking opportunities, and more interactive programming that celebrates the ever-expanding world of online video. Through a unique mix of top creators, emerging stars, industry leaders, and insightful experts, the virtual experience will bring the best parts of the convention to its global fans on their devices.”

VidCon Now will also be supporting the issues going on right now, with programming providing attendees with opportunities to donate to COVID-19 relief charities World Health Organization and No Kid Hungry, as well as Black Lives Matter movement charities Black Visions Collective and the NAACP.

VidCon 2020 Has Been Officially Cancelled

VidCon 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled due to growing health concerns.

The annual social media convention was set to take place from June 17th to 20th but will now be replaced with an event this fall.

“We were so excited about the 11th annual VidCon US, but our number one priority is always the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, speakers, creators, and staff. Unfortunately, due to the continued uncertainty…and the precautions being taken by authorities worldwide to manage this pandemic, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel VidCon this June,” VidCon‘s general manager Jim Louderback said in a statement.

He continued, “We are working hard to bring you a VidCon US experience this fall and will keep you posted as those details come together. Don’t worry; it will still be an amazing event that you won’t want to miss!”

Current ticket holders will be refunded by April 15th. Further details about VidCon‘s fall event will be announced by June 15th.
