Alexa and Carlos revealed they were expecting their second child earlier this year, before revealing the gender and his name in a cute vlog from a recent family vacation.
In a new interview, the longtime couple opened up about just how they came about the name - Kingston James. Turns out, they were inspired to chose it while they were shopping at Target.
“It was literally as simple as that, at Target, in the underwear section!” Alexa told People.
She also opened up about how she was relieved that their second child would also be a boy, instead of a girl.
“I know everybody was kind of hoping for a girl for us because we already have a boy, but we really both wanted another boy,†she explained. “Our kid [Ocean] is tough and he just needs a little boy that he can wrestle with and play with.â€
“When we found out that we were having another boy, there was like this actual almost relief,” Alexa added. “Even though a girl would have been adorable and so sweet and great, having another little boy, I really believe it’s exactly what our family needed.â€

The first movie in the new Picture Perfect Mysteries, called Newlywed and Dead, is set to premiere NEXT Sunday, June 16th @ 9PM ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
The movie centers on small-town wedding photographer Allie (Alexa), who finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery when the groom is shot dead during the first dance. Suspicion turns to Allie’s brother Greg, the ex-boyfriend of the bride, so she launches her own investigation to clear his name.
As Allie pours over photographs for possible suspects, she tries to help Sam (Carlos), the newest Detective on the force, as they hunt for the killer and the missing murder weapon.
Alexa and Carlos PenaVega had the cutest gender reveal ever in their latest vlog, while on a babymoon vacation with their first child, Ocean.
The couple had a special cake made for the reveal vlog and it revealed they were having another boy!
“Yesterday was beyond special! The video is coming soon! An extra BIG thank you to Marla for going above and beyond making it so fun and memorable with all the decorations and DELICIOUS CAKE!!!” Alexa wrote on her Instagram.

Deadline reports that the trio, along with Levi Dylan and Tommy Ragen, will star in Mighty Oak.
The movie is a dramedy centering on band manager Gina Jackson (Parrish), who struggles with losing her lead singer/brother (Dylan) in a fatal car accident on the way to a gig.
A decade later, Gina meets a 10-year-old music prodigy named Oak, who seems to possess the same qualities as her brother, Vaughn. But her friends become concerned when Gina starts to insist that Oak is really the reincarnation of Vaughn.
The movie is shooting now in San Diego – and Janel‘s already found her fave co-star of the bunch – a great dane named Larry!
In their pregnancy reveal video, the couple revealed that they were separated filming two different Hallmark movies when Alexa found out she was pregnant.
Alexa filmed a little video for Carlos where she tells him that she decided to take a shower and take a pregnancy test afterward.
