So it sounds like those romance rumors between Alexandra Daddario and Zac Efron are not true.

She was recently asked about whether or not she is dating her Baywatch co-star – and it’s a no.

“I understand why people would go crazy over something like that, but Zac and I are very good friends,” Alexandra told E! News.

The last time they were asked about their relationship, they dodged the question and started talking about pickles. Soooo, take that as you will.

Alexandra Daddario thinks you’ll enjoy the female characters in Baywatch – and not just because they’re gorgeous!

The actress and her Baywatch co-star Jon Bass talked “flipping the script” on stereotypical gender roles during a visit to AOL’s Build Series NYC on Wednesday (May 24) in New York City.

“I think it was very important for all of us – the cast and obviously the producers and director [Seth Gordon] – to create female characters that weren’t just dumb and funny because they were dumb,” Alexandra said. “The point was that Baywatch takes itself very seriously – we’re all like CIA operatives but on the beach – and all the women are very tough and strong, and I think that made a lot of sense in the context of this film, and I think it actually makes it funnier. It’s a little cliche to just have the women there as eye candy. Part of the joke is that we’re all supernaturally hot, but that’s not just what it is.”

“We do a really good job of sort of flipping the script and making sure that, yeah, the guys get their due. Because it’s 2017,” Jon chimed in. “The essence of Baywatch in and of itself is, you know, is sexy. It’s sexy, it’s beachy, and it’s fun – and we’re not throwing that out, we’re saying, ‘Look, that is a part of this movie, but we also know how absolutely hilarious and ridiculous that is.’”

Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario have been super busy traveling the globe while promoting Baywatch!

The cute co-stars most recently stepped out a screening of the film on Monday (May 22) at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City.

They were also joined by their cast mates Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra.

Afterwards, the group headed to Hotel Indigo’s Mr. Purple to celebrate the film at a private after party.

The entire cast of Baywatch has been keeping extremely busy promoting the film and Alexandra let fans know just how tired she is!

“View from the car window, NYC, 5am, jet lagged, accurate representation of how I currently see the world #teamnosleep,” she captioned a photo on her Instagram.

Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario continue to keep the world guessing about their relationship status!

The Baywatch co-stars hit Bondi Beach to chat with the popular Bondi Beach lifeguard crew, Bondi Rescue, on Saturday (May 20) in Australia.

During a recent interview on Australia’s The Project, Zac opened up about how cutting carbs would make him crave “the weirdest things.”

Alexandra chimed in, “Like, you’re laying in bed and you haven’t had carbohydrates in five days, and you’re just like, I really want…”

“Fried pickles,” they said at the same time.

When asked if there was any truth to the romance rumors, there was a moment of silence before Zac replied, “Nothing but our shared love of…”

“Pickles,” Alexandra finished, before Zac teased everyone again with, “So far.”

The 29-year-old actor snapped a photo of himself while attending the Baywatch premiere at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter on Thursday (May 18) in Sydney, Australia.

He was joined by his co-stars Alexandra Daddario and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

“Love you. Love my bay. #Baywatch,” Zac captioned an Instagram selfie that day, which you can see below.

Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario are too cute to handle while Down Under!

The 29-year-old actor and 31-year-old actress stopped by Bondi Beach to promote their new film Baywatch on Wednesday (May 17) in Sydney, Australia.

The co-stars, who are rumored to be dating, coupled up as they posed together for a photocall.

“I feel like Baywatch has the spirit of Bondi Beach in it, like this is the bay we are protecting in the movie,” Zac told The Daily Telegraph.

He added, “That is one of the reasons we are so excited to bring it out here. I love coming to Australia. I love the fans out here, the energy out here. It is always a great time and everybody shows up and shows so much love so it is good to be back to see everybody.”
