Jordin Sparks hits the stage for a special performance at the finale of American Idol at the Dolby Theatre on Thursday (April 7) in Hollywood.
The 26-year-old singer, who won season six of the singing competition series, performed her song “No Air” with season one runner-up Justin Guarini!
The medley started with former judge Kara DioGuardi singing Pink‘s “Sober” and continued with Colton Dixon singing his song “Through All Of It,” and then Jordin‘s performance.
Kimberley Locke then sang her song “Eighth World Wonder” and Tamyra Gray from season one sang Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush.” Next up was Alison Iraheta with Meghan Trainor‘s “No” followed by Pia Toscano‘s stunning rendition of Celine Dion‘s classic “All By Myself.”

Jessica Sanchez gives it her all while performing an amazing version of “The Prayer” during American Idol‘s series finale on Thursday (April 7).
The 20-year-old season 11 runner-up was joined by prior contestants for a medley of songs, which was opened by Katharine McPhee and Casey James singing Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now”

Other performers, who Harry Connick Jr. called “some of the best singers American Idol has discovered,” included Carly Smithson, Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard and Amber Holcomb.

Jessica Sanchez Sings “The Prayer”
The winner of American Idol‘s final season has been revealed and do not continue to read this post if you don’t want to be spoiled!
The major series finale aired on Thursday (April 7) and we said farewell to the show with amazing performances from nearly all the memorable contestants from the fifteen years on the air.
The final two contestants this year were La’Porsha Renae and Trent Harmon. They both sang their hearts out during the performance episode the night before and the judges commented that this could be the closest vote in the show’s history.

Jessica Sanchez looks super cute in a short, shimmering dress while on the for the American Idol series finale on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 20-year-old season 11 runner-up was joined at the event by season 12′s winner Candice Glover.

It looks like Candice has been having a blast getting ready for the American Idol finale and has been sharing lots of behind-the-scenes videos on her Instagram.
“Rehearsals are tiring but so fun! Loving the vibe of everyone giving and taking from each other in the most positive way. #IdolFinale #IdolFarewell,” she wrote.

The two finalists opened up the show by singing the classic song “It Takes Two,” the same song that the first final two – Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini – sang on the first season finale.
“Hey @JustinGuarini remember when they told us we were gonna sing this duet right before the show started 14 years ago hahaha!! #idolfinale,” Kelly tweeted during the performance.

Jordin Sparks looks fierce in a two piece set while on the red carpet for the American Idol series finale on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 26-year-old season six winner was joined on the carpet by Lauren Alaina and season 10 winner Scotty McCreery.

All three singers are set to take the stage during the finale to perform, including a performance from Jordin alongside former judge Kara DioGuardi.
Jordin took to her Instagram to reflect on how much she’s grown up since auditioning for the show.
“#TBT 2006 when I auditioned for my favorite show. 10 years later & I remember like it was yesterday. The glo-up is so real!! Lol <3 @americanidol #80066 #idolfarewell #idolfinale #BecauseYouLovedMe #11spoonfulsofsuga," she wrote
She later added, "10 years later....proof of the glo-up!! Ha! ????@americanidol #idolfarewell #80066 #idolfinale."
