Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are speaking out about the Black Lives Matter movement, and making donations to social justice organizations.

Keke Palmer Opens Up About Viral Video of Her Asking National Guard To March With Protesters

Keke Palmer was the subject of a viral video on Tuesday (June 2) while protesting in Los Angeles.

In the video, the 26-year-old entertainer can be seen urging a group of National Guards to march with her and other protesters.

“Stand together with the community, with society to stop, stop the governmental oppression,” she tells the guys. “We need you. March with us, march beside us.”

Many people, including fans, friends and other celebrities, praised Keke for the video.

The next morning, Keke opened up with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America about the video.

“I wanted to just bring as much awareness as we all can to the injustices that are going on in America,” Keke said. “Being there with everyone, we were all just so inspired and, empowered I think is the word.”

“I was just talking to the people that I was marching with. I just posed the question of ‘Why are they not with us? Why are they not able to be with us?’” she added. “Here we are marching in peace and with purpose, and I’m sure many of them feel the same way as we do. I wanted us to just unite as human beings above all.”

“Though the kneeling — it can be seen as a walk in the same direction — we all can also see that just moments after in some of these cities where we’ve seen the kneeling, we’ve seen the teargassing and everything, the chaos afterwards,” Keke continued.

Vanessa Morgan Vows To Not Take Any More Roles That Don't Properly Represent Black People

Vanessa Morgan is continuing to speak out about being black in Hollywood.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday (June 2) and Wednesday (June 3), the Riverdale actress made vows to only take on certain roles, and only wear black designers on red carpets.

“My role on Riverdale has nothing to do with my fellow castmates/friends. They don’t write the show. So no need to attack them, they don’t call the shots & I know they have my back. ❤️,” Vanessa wrote on Tuesday.

“finally feel like I can speak up for myself and my fellow brothers and sisters & be heard. Usually everyone is fake listening. I really hope a change is comin,” she added in reply to someone.

“To my black fans, I have now made it my purpose to fight for us. To the six year old me who had no role model that looked like me on TV. This is for you. We aren’t your token black non dimensional characters. This is being black in Hollywood. I will fight for YOU,” Vanessa said on Wednesday morning, adding, “And I will no longer take roles that don’t properly represent us. PERIOD.”

Vanessa also shared that she will only wear black designers to events and red carpets, and opened the door for aspiring designers.

“From now on any red carpet or event I will be wearing and supporting Black designers. Any aspiring Black designers hit me up. I got you. I see you,” she tweeted.

These tweets come during the Black Lives Matter movement happening now, and after Vanessa clapped back at someone for calling her former co-star Ashleigh Murray a diva.

Emma Watson Responds After Her Black Lives Matter Posts Receive Backlash

Emma Watson Responds After Her Black Lives Matter Posts Receive Backlash

Emma Watson is opening up after receiving backlash for her Black Lives Matter posts on Instagram.

On Tuesday (June 2), the 30-year-old actress and activist took part in “Black Out Tuesday” by posting three black squares with white borders, and no captions.

Many fans spoke out in the comments and on Twitter about how this was the first she’s done anything as an activist and they were upset she didn’t share anymore info. People also called out how she added the borders to go along with her Instagram aesthetic.

After midnight that night, Emma shared new posts on Instagram, addressing why she didn’t post anything else.

“I was holding off posting until #blackouttuesday ended in the UK.,” she captioned a piece of art.
⁣
“The Artwork of my brilliant dear friend @fahamupecou ‘White Lies, Subtleties, Micro-Aggressions, and Other Choking Hazards’ B R O K E N O P E N (poem + text from the series BLACK MATTER LIVES) by Dr Fahamu Pecou⁣,” she went on to write, along with the entirety of the poem.

She also quoted Dr. Fahamu Pecou⁣: “We can not be broken. We do not break. For too long we’ve been afraid that their violence would end us. But we are still here. Some they took, but they’ve all come back. They never truly left.”
⁣
“Say their names #AhmaudArbery #BreonnaTaylor #GeorgeFloyd,” she added.

“I stand with you,” she wrote in another post with a quote: “There is so much racism, both in our past and present, that is not acknowledged or accounted for. White supremacy is one of the systems of hierarchy and dominance, of exploitation and oppression, that is tightly stitched into society. As a white person, I have benefited from this..”

Here are ways that you can support the cause.
