Isabella Gomez's 'Head of the Class' Reboot Gets Official Series Order at HBO Max

The Head of the Class reimagined reboot has officially been picked up to series at HBO Max!

One Day at a Time‘s Isabella Gomez will lead the gender-swapped new show, which will be given 10 episodes, Deadline reports.

The series revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a first-time teacher, Alicia Adams (Gomez), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.

Isabella‘s Alicia is a whip-smart, funny, blunt high school teacher we all wish we had. A former GPA junkie, Alicia thought she had the world all figured out when she was in school. Teaching for the first time, Alicia’s is figuring out what she really wants in life.

Katie Beth Hall Joins Isabella Gomez In 'Head of the Class' Reboot

Katie Beth Hall is heading to class in the upcoming Head of the Class reboot at HBO Max!

The newly 16-year-old will play Sarah Watson in the new series, Variety reveals.

Sarah is “on the swim team with Terrell and is a type A personality that’s driven to create her own destiny.”

Katie is joining a great cast, which includes Isabella Gomez in the lead role as Alicia Adams, as well as Jorge Diaz, Dior Goodjohn, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Brandon Severs, and Christa Miller.

Jules LeBlanc has a very important message for her fans – your vote matters!

The 15-year-old Side Hustle actress and a group of her friends made a new voting PSA titled “It Counts.”

Also starring in the almost six minute long video are Luke Mullen, Emily Skinner, Jillian Shea Spaeder, Lilia Buckingham, Aliyah Moulden, Brandon Severs, Matt Sato, Jake Clark, Emily Faucret and Abigail Haley.

Here’s a synopsis: Two students compete in a high school presidential election, and we see how one student’s vote can change everything. This short film promotes the importance of voting and educates young viewers on how to participate in the upcoming 2020 election. This film is brought to you by young filmmakers who directed, produced, and wrote the project.

Tess Romero and Gina Rodriguez snap a fun photo together at the premiere of their new series Diary of a Future President held at Arclight Cinemas on Tuesday (January 14) in Hollywood.

The two ladies play the younger and older version of the main character, Elena. Gina also serves as an executive producer.
