Brooklyn & Bailey are giving credit where credit is due and speaking up about Girl Up on HLN’s new show ASPIREist.
ASPIREist is a new program built for young people today, covering “stories that matter” and enables viewers to act on the issues they care about immediately following call to action.
Airing this weekend, the twin social stars and singers give viewers a closer look at their work with the cause Girl Up, championing the rights of girls living in some of the most vulnerable places on earth.
“It was SO much fun working with ASPIREist! We love that there is such a powerful outlet covering topics that REALLY matter like Girl Up,” they tell JJJ about the team up.
Brooklyn and Bailey add, “We’re super passionate about Girl Up because they’re also doing something that really matters by empowering girls and providing them an opportunity for a better life through education!”
One half of Brooklyn & Bailey opened up in a new vlog about splitting with her longtime boyfriend Parker, just ahead of going on tour with twin Bailey.
“I’m just gonna say it… last week, Parker broke up with me in what was one of the hardest days of my life so far,” she writes. “For most of the next 3 days, I felt heartbroken, alone, and an unbelievable sadness I’d never experienced. Parker was my first ‘real’ boyfriend, my first kiss, and I invested almost all of my free time in him.”
She added, “Parker has been my best friend for the past 4 years, my boyfriend for the past 2. He made me laugh when I didn’t want to, he calmed me down when I needed him to, and cared for me and my crazy life, and, yes, he even my loved family.”
Later on, Brooklyn explained that while it was a shock, she doesn’t hate her ex for what went down at all.
“Please do not hate on Parker, because doing so would be wrong. No drama,” Brooklyn tells her fans. “Please respect his privacy, as attacking him would be like attacking me. Parker will always be a part of me. He’s a wonderful person with a wonderful family, and he deserves his happiness.”
Plus, Brooklyn DOES have a full tour to look forward to!
