We’ve been patiently waiting for news about the third season of Stranger Things and Netflix is kicking off 2019 with something exciting to share!

Season three of the hit series is set to premiere on July 4, 2019.

The news was announced the moment the ball dropped in Times Square on New Year’s Eve and the announcement video appropriately features the ball drop from 1985.

“Something stranger arrives in Hawkins Summer 1985,” Netflix teased. A poster for the new season features Millie Bobby Brown‘s Eleven and Finn Wolfhard‘s Mike Wheeler holding hands. The tagline on the poster reads, “one summer can change everything.”

Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Caleb McLaughlin are all featured on the poster as well.

The cast of Stranger Things is giving fans a taste of what it’s like to spend the holidays with them!

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink all star in a Christmas-themed video released by Netflix on Thursday (December 20).

It features the group decked out in holiday sweaters as they wrap presents around a tree for some superfans – and things took a lot longer than expected!

They also shared which of their castmates they believe are the best and worst wrappers (“I’m into Cardi B,” Millie says).

Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, and Noah Schnapp team up for the Stranger Things panel during day two of 2018 Argentina Comic Con!

The co-stars stepped out for the event held at Costa Salguero on Saturday (December 8) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The trio spoke on stage, signed autographs, and snapped pics with fans during the fun-filled day.

Caleb and Sadie were also spotted leaving their hotel and greeting a crowd of waiting fans ahead of the event.

The next day, the group headed to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for Comic Con.

Noah Schnapp chats with fans during the 2018 German Comic Con Dortmund held at the Westfalenhallen, Germany over the weekend.

His Stranger Things co-stars Caleb Mclaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo were also seen out at the For The Love Of Sci-Fi Convention held at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, England.

The three stars of the Netflix series opened up about the new season as much as they could.

“Season three will be darker but funnier,” Gaten teased at the panel. It’s not much to go on, but at least it’s something.

Stranger Things will return next year on Netflix.

Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb Mclaughlin had a mini Stranger Things reunion at the For The Love Of Sci-Fi Convention!

The co-stars took the stage on Saturday afternoon (December 1) at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, England.

During the event, Gaten opened up about the next season of the show.

“Filming season three was really exciting because there was so much more intensity involved. It’s darker but it’s funnier and there’s just a lot going on,” Gaten told BBC.

The night before, Gaten also go the chance to perform with his band Work in Progress to help kick off the convention.

When you think of epic group Halloween costumes, a few groups of friends come to mind – but none have reached the level of the Stranger Things cast.

Millie Bobby Brown shared the young casts’ group costume on her Instagram, with most of them dressing up as characters from Star Wars.

Gaten Matarazzo was Han Solo, and Sadie Sink was Rey, with Millie dressing as Princess Leia; and Caleb chose to dress up as a Rasta inspired Bob Marley for the holiday.

But none was as amazing as Noah‘s costume – Eleven! Total BFF goals right there!
