5 Seconds of Summer Credit Their Fans With Their Success

5 Seconds of Summer stop by SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday afternoon (June 4) in New York City.

The guys - Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood - played a few songs for the show, including their newest track, "Easier".

Over the weekend, 5 Seconds of Summer opened up with Billboard at Wango Tango about their evolution as a band.

"We just want to be a dynamic band throughout the whole of our career and this is just kind of another natural progression to this next chapter of us being a band," Calum shared. "I think it's a special one for 5 Seconds to Summer and it's one that we really pushed ourselves to achieve and keep on achieving."

Ashton added that they owe a lot to their fans, as well.

"We make our music not only for ourselves but for them," he says. "They always accept what we do and I love that about them. We're very lucky to have fans like that, not a lot of people do."

5 Seconds of Summer are ready to share their new music!

The group – Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood and Michael Clifford - took the stage at 2019 Wango Tango on Saturday evening (June 1) at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.

The show was one of the first times the band played their new single "Easier" in addition to fan favorites like "She Looks So Perfect" and "Who Do You Love."

After the show, Calum had to take a second to applaud Michael's on-stage skills.

"Can we appreciate @Michael5SOS guitar solo in the live version of want you back," Calum wrote on his Twitter.

Yes, we so appreciate Michael's talent!

Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood took a break from their busy schedules for a coffee run!

The 5 Seconds of Summer band mates were spotted while out and about on Friday afternoon (May 17) in Studio City, Calif.

Earlier in the week, 5SOS launched a new clothing line called Friends of Friends, to help support charitable organizations.

"The Ultimate goal for Friends Of Friends is for it to travel with us co-existing with our tours and donates to regional charities depending on where we are in the world. Friends Of Friends will support artists of all kinds, and be a platform for people to be themselves and showcase whatever art they’ve made. Most of all, Friends Of Friends will grow into something we don’t even understand yet. Let’s make a positive impact on an increasingly dark world. You’re the light," Ashton wrote on his Twitter.

The current limited edition run will support Safe Place for Youth, which aims to inspire and empower the resilient spirit of homeless youth by providing immediate and lasting solutions.

The 5 Seconds of Summer drummer and his rumored girlfriend were spotted visiting Joan's on Third on Thursday (April 4) in Studio City, Calif.

The two, both clad in dark-colored, casual outfits, have reportedly been linked since late 2017.

Ashton also met up at the same restaurant with 5SOS bassist Calum Hood on Saturday.

5 Seconds of Summer show off their new award at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards held at Microsoft Theater on Thursday (March 14) in Los Angeles.

The guys - Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford - took home the award for Best Pop Duo/Group. Congratulations!!

"Incredible win at the the @iHeartRadio awards!!! We won best group. Thank you so much for being with us through our ups and downs. We are on a high right now!!" the guys wrote on their Twitter page.

"'It’s important for us to challenge peoples perceptions of a modern rock band In pop music world' @Calum5SOS," another tweet read.

5 Seconds of Summer just dropped an acoustic version of their new single "Lie to Me" and we've got it on repeat!

The group - Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford - also filmed a picturesque visual to go along with the track.

In the toned-down, piano driven version of the track, produced by Zakk Cervini, the guys perform on the edge of a cliff during a stunning sunset.

The acoustic version of "Lie to Me" is available to stream on all digital platforms.

5 Seconds of Summer have dropped their "Lie to Me" music video!

The pop rock band - Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin - shared the visual with fans on Friday (January 18).

It features lead vocalist Luke sitting in a car in the middle of an abandoned race track at night. Two cars then crash into either side of the vehicle, leading to a fiery explosion.

"Now I wish we never met/ Cause you're too hard to forget/ While I'm cleaning up your mess/ I know he's taking off your dress," he sings.

"Lie to Me" is part of 5SOS's 2018 album Youngblood.
