Demi Lovato Teams Up With Lyft To Help People Get To Vaccine Appointments

Demi Lovato is helping Hispanic communities get to vaccination sites!

The 28-year-old, along with the Voto Latino Foundation, has teamed up with ride share company Lyft to provide ride credits in her home state of Texas.

“The Latinx community has been devastated by the COVID epidemic healthwise and economically. The best way for our community to rebound from this pandemic is to get vaccinated – quickly. To that end, Voto Latino Foundation is pleased to partner with Lyft and Demi Lovato to safely provide individuals rides to receive their vaccine. Our aim is to help bridge the gaps and inequities in vaccine distribution for Latinos in Texas. No one should forgo a shot because they don’t have a ride. This is absolutely crucial work,” María Teresa Kumar, Co-Founding President and CEO of Voto Latino Foundation, said in a statement.

Lyft has a goal of providing access to 60 million rides for imperative vaccine access to and from their appointments. If individuals already have their own reliable transportation but would like to fund a ride for someone in need, one of Lyft’s nonprofit partners will connect them to it.

You can get more info, or even send a ride to someone, on Lyft.com/Vaccine-Access!

Demi Lovato Performs Her Tiny Desk Concert at Home To a Special Audience

Demi Lovato wears a gray suit jacket while performing her Tiny Desk Concert, which premiered on Wednesday morning (April 14)!

The 28-year-old performed three songs – “Tell Me You Love Me,” “The Art of Starting Over” and “Dancing With The Devil” – and had a special audience.

“#TinyDesk live from my backyard with my squirrels,” she wrote on Twitter.

After the first song, Demi shared, “I am super excited to be filming this outside because I’m really, really excited about the weather changing. Spring is my second favorite, and summer is my absolute favorite season. So, I’m really happy to be out in the bright sunny California sun, and my squirrels are out here.”

“You can’t see, but I have now taught them how to eat from my hand, and that’s a big accomplishment. So I just wanted to let you know, that is what was on my mind, and I’m happy to be here,” she added.

If you are confused and haven’t been keeping up with Demi‘s Instagram stories, she’s had squirrels in her yard and made it her mission to befriend them and get them to come up to her. She’s succeeded and as she said, has gotten them to grab food out of her hand!

Demi‘s Tiny Desk Concert was filmed right outside of her home studio, with her trophies and awards in the background. She showed them off back in December when the room was finished.

Demi Lovato Says Making Her New Docu-Series Was 'Really Cathartic'

Demi Lovato is sharing what it was like to make her docu-series Dancing With The Devil.

The 28-year-old performer made a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show on Friday (April 9) and reflected on how the experience impacted her.

Host Jimmy Fallon described the show as “rough and tough” and asked Demi if it was “odd” to be so raw and vulnerable about her life.

“It was challenging,” she replied. “I had to work through a lot of things before I actually told the story on camera.”

“But I’ve been working on myself and putting in a lot of work behind the scenes so that when it was time to put it on camera, I felt completely secure to tell my story,” Demi added.

She described making the docu-series as “really cathartic” and shared that she hopes viewers will learn from what she went through and that the documentary will help destigmatize mental health.

She told Jimmy, “No matter what people say when they watch it, and whatever people think when they listen to my album [Dancing With the Devil...The Art of Starting Over], I am so excited about these two projects and I’m standing in such truth that nothing anyone can say will shake me.”
