The 26-year-old Maze Runner star made his return to YouTube, almost eight years after his last video.
To celebrate his return, Dylan made a hilarious, mockumentary style video where he chronicles what is looks like inside the life of an unemployed actor in Los Angeles.
Dylan and his camera operator are first seen driving around the streets of LA, explaining how he’s been spending his time since his last paid job.
In one particular funny scene, Dylan shows up to audition for Frozen 2!
“It was a mistake? What do you mean? Who’s mistake? They didn’t mean to send the audition to me?” he says. “Can I just go in anyway? I really need this right now. Tell them I’m begging.”
Thrilling news Dylan O’Brien fans – he’s just been cast in a new movie!
The 26-year-old Maze Runner actor will star in The Education of Fredrick Fitzell alongside Maika Monroe, according to Deadline.
Dylan “will play a man who begins to unravel a long hidden mystery about a missing girl, a drug called Mercury, and a terrifying creature that has followed him into adulthood.”
“The script is unlike anything I’ve read,†producer Lee Kim said of the movie. “Chris has crafted a unique, brilliant story – one that transcends genre and provides a surreal snapshot of a man on the brink of collapse. It’s a testament to his writing, vision and characters that we have such an amazing cast lined up. I’m excited to help bring this to life.â€
The mystery thriller, written and directed by Christopher MacBride, is set to start shooting this summer.
With the release of Maze Runner: The Death Cure on Digital HD, it basically feels like the franchise has officially come to an end!
Before you end this chapter, you have to pick up a copy of the movie to watch all of the deleted scenes. We’re happy to debut one of those scenes right here and it features stars Dylan O’Brien, Will Poulter, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster performing an intense stunt.
In this scene, the guys approach a bridge and find it destroyed and have no other way of getting down but by jumping off the edge.
Will‘s character jumps off first and you can tell immediately that this is a deleted scene as the CGI is not complete. You get to see Dylan and Thomas leap at the end of the clip.

The Maze Runner: The Death Cure arrives on digital today and on 4k Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD on April 24th.
Dylan O’Brien is looking to go behind the camera on his future projects.
In his feature with Cineplex magazine (via), the Maze Runner: The Death Cure star opened up about his hopes to direct stemmed from his YouTube past.
“I started making my little shorts when I was in high school,” he remembers. “That’s what eventually led to this, which is really cool. But I haven’t made any videos in a long time, literally since I started working. Obviously, I’ve planned on getting back in to that side of things.”
Dylan adds that he’d “love to direct one day, always wanted to make my own stuff down the road. So maybe a precursor to all that will be another little short.”
Dylan O’Brien just has an affect on people when you see him.
In a recent interview, the 26-year-old Maze Runner: The Death Cure actor was asked about the craziest fan encounter he’s had, and though it’s not crazy, it was the first one that came to his mind.
“I was at Ralph’s one time, shopping, and I rounded a corner, and a girl was holding groceries and stuff, and she went [gasps],” he told Extra. “All of her groceries went everywhere. Then I just helped her pick it all up for like ten minutes, and then took a picture. It was hilarious.”
What a gentleman!
HOW WOULD YOU REACT if you saw Dylan O’Brien at the grocery store?
The deleted scene is an intimate moment between Dylan O’Brien and Thomas Brodie-Sangster‘s characters Thomas and Newt, and fans of the book series are quite upset that it’s not included in the movie.
“This is such an important scene for newt and his whole character arc and his relationship to both thomas and minho, as a fan i feel kinda betrayed that they would leave it out of the finished film,” one fan wrote.
“This scene didn’t deserve to be deleted, that’s something really important in Newt’s story and they can’t just throw it away you know, it’s important to the person he is and to the relationship he had with Thomas (it shows how close they really are, y’know),” another fan said.
