Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, & Whitney Peak Go Back to School for 'Gossip Girl' (Photos)

We’re so excited for the upcoming Gossip Girl series and we’re loving these new photos of the cast back at school!

Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, and Whitney Peak were seen in their school uniforms while filming on the Upper East Side of New York City on Monday (November 23).

The stars were seen alongside other actors from the new HBO Max series, including Thomas Doherty, Zion Moreno, Savannah Smith, Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, and Tavi Gevinson.

The original series followed the lives of students at elite private high schools in New York City’s Upper East Side – the Constance Billard School for Girls and the St. Jude’s School for Boys. The photos from set confirm that the students will be attending the same schools in the upcoming extension series.

The Gossip Girl showrunner spoke out this month to explain why the upcoming series should NOT be considered a reboot.

Thomas Doherty Wears Only A Bathrobe On 'Gossip Girl' Set Before Lunch With Co-Stars

Thomas Doherty is showing off his toned abs in just a gold bathrobe on the set of Gossip Girl.

The 25-year-old star headed to set in just the thin satin robe and his Tom Ford underwear on Monday afternoon (November 16) in New York City.

Thomas tried to hold his robe close, however, the wind kept trying to blow it open and while walking to the set, he embraced it, showing off his toned abs and legs underneath the robe.

Just a few hours later, Thomas was spotted fully dressed again, in jeans and a warm coat while heading out to lunch with his co-stars Emily Alyn Lind and Evan Mock.

All three were masked up as they grabbed a bite to eat together before heading back to work on the HBO reboot of the iconic series.

Just last week, the full cast of the reboot got together for scene where they were seated on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

You Have to See These New Pics of Thomas Doherty & the 'Gossip Girl' Cast Filming On The Steps!

Thomas Doherty sits on the steps of the Metropolitan Musuem of Art with his Gossip Girl co-stars in these new photos on Tuesday (November 10) in New York City.

The 25-year-old actor was joined by Eli Brown, Evan Mock, Savannah Smith, Tavi Gevinson, Jordan Alexander, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno and Whitney Peak.

The group of actors filmed scenes on the steps, which were famously featured often in the first couple of seasons in the original Gossip Girl.

Blair (Leighton Meester) would sit at the top of the steps before school or at lunch, and her minions would sit on the steps right below her. Once Blair graduated from Constance, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) took over the hierarchy and would sit at the top of the steps.

The week before, Thomas shared with fans that he was starting work on the reboot, by sharing a selfie in the hair and makeup trailer, showing off his ripped abs!

Eli and Whitney were also seen filming night scenes later in the week.

The Gossip Girl reboot is set to premiere in 2021 on HBO Max.

Emily Alyn Lind Is 'Already In Love' With Her 'Gossip Girl' Character

Emily Alyn Lind is speaking out about the upcoming Gossip Girl reboot!

The 18-year-old actress was one of the first announced for the cast of the series.

In a recent interview, Emily dished what she could on her character and the Gossip Girl universe.

“I met with our casting director and I met with [showrunner] Josh [Safran] and they gave me a rundown of everything that’s going on. The way that they explained everything and the way that they talked about how it’s a family, it’s going to be a good time,” Emily told ET. “It’s like we wouldn’t do this if we weren’t all in love with each other and so happy to go to work. They’ve done this before. The fact that they want to come back means that they were very happy with how the other show was. They’re ready to get back on the wagon and go again. So I’m really excited.”

“The characters are so intriguing. Josh is brilliant. All the creators of that show are involved in our reboot,” she added. “They just have a way with creating characters that you want to watch, that you’re interested in and I’m excited to see what they do with this one.”

As for her own character Audrey, Emily said, “Let me just say I’m already in love with her and I’m really excited for everyone to meet her.”

Emily also spoke on the series tackling topics and conversations that are relevant to today.

She said she’s excited for them to “touch on specific subjects that are really relevant to today’s society” and “how we’re going to make sure that that is a relevant factor of the show.”

“As people that have platforms being on a show, you need to talk about things that people stigmatize or people think shouldn’t be talked about,” Emily continued. “I’m very into confronting situations head-on and saying, ‘Look, this is what we have to do.’”
