Emily Osment & Gregg Sulkin To Star In New Comedy Series For Netflix

Emily Osment and Gregg Sulkin are reuniting for a new comedy series on Netflix!

It was just announced that the two former Disney Channel stars will lead a new 10-episode multi-cam comedy, according to Deadline.

The untitled project “centers on a snooty, self-proclaimed intellectual (Osment) forced to move in with her carefree sister and her sister’s lovably eccentric friends, one of them played by Sulkin.”

Emily will play Chelsea, “an Ivy league educated intellectual who is book-smart and quick witted but lacks the real world skills she needs to have a functional life. She finds herself living in LA without any options other than her bubbly sister, Claire, and Claire’s roommates.”

Gregg will take on Grant, a “romantic, genuinely sweet, and an often shirtless personal trainer. He has a childlike curiosity about the world and is the kind of guy women love and men… also love! He used to date Claire, but now they’re ‘just friends.’”

“Beyond excited to join the @netflix family & work with my incredibly talented friend @emilyosment !!! Very honored & grateful to our wonderful producers Jack Dolgen, Doug Mand & Kourtney Kang. I cannot wait to be directed by the legendary Pamela Fryman. Excited to bring some laughs to your Netflix account later this year!” Gregg excitedly wrote on Instagram.

The new series comes from Doogie Kamealoha, MD creator Kourtney Kang, Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand, who will all executive produce. Jack and Doug created and wrote the project.

Emily and Gregg previously worked together on an episode of her series Young & Hungry. He guest starred on the episode “Young & Assistant” in season four. He was a neighbor and love interest for Aimee Carrero‘s Sofia.

Katherine McNamara, Gregg Sulkin and Cameron Fuller have teamed up for a new project!

The trio of actors are in the development stages of bringing the book “The Devouring Gray” by Christine Lynn Herman to the screen.

They made the exciting announcement over the weekend in a new YouTube video on Gregg and Cameron‘s joint channel.

“It is a remarkable story about a small town and four families, and the next generation coming up and taking charge of their future,” Katherine says in the video.

Christine has been absolutely amazing in collaborating, and just working with us. It’s an incredible book,” Gregg adds.

“This book is so fun. It is just different. It’s dark YA, which is really fun,” Cameron said.

“We have had the opportunity in our careers to play characters that we’ve been really passionate about, and to be a part of some fandoms that are really amazing,” Katherine continued. “A lot of those things have stemmed from source material, whether it be a comic book, or a book… Now, moving forward, this book is another one that we really feel has an amazing story that those of you out there that we know and love, will also be excited by.”

Demi Lovato Once Sang To The Audience On The Set of This Disney Show!

Demi Lovato once gave an audience quite a treat at a taping of Wizards of Waverly Place!

WOWP star David Henrie revealed that the singer visited Selena Gomez on set once and ended up singing for the audience.

During a game of Wizards trivia with Gregg Sulkin and Jennifer Stone in a new YouTube video, they were asked, “Which Disney Channel star sang amongst a live audience during a live taping? Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Raven Symone or Hilary Duff,” and David revealed it was Demi.

“That was Selena‘s friend and she brought her to the taping, and she was sitting in the audience,” David said. “There was a break between shooting and out of nowhere, just this voice from heaven just belted out in the audience on the microphone, insanely gorgeous voice singing, I think Christina Aguilera, better than Christina.”

“All the network executives at Disney went…” he added, while turning around and going, “Hm?!”

But I’d say there’s reasonable hope that there will be a reunion one day.”
