While we’re still eagerly awaiting a full Hailee Steinfeld album, she keeps dropping more and more music for fans… including the new EP, Half Written Story!
The Oscar-nominated actress and singer has created a two-part music project and this is the first half.
“This project is a collection of songs that are so special to me and I’m incredibly proud of,” Hailee said in a statement. “This is the first body of work I’ve put out since my debut project in 2016 and I can’t wait for everyone to hear these new songs.”
The lead single “I Love You’s” samples the hit Annie Lennox song “No More I Love You’s.”

The 23-year-old singer and actress shared the artwork, plus the track list and release date for the mini-album.
It will be out next Friday, May 8th, and features five songs, including “Wrong Direction” and “I Love Yous”, and part two of the album will be available later this summer.

Hailee will also be performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, May 1 to promote the album.

“It’s my first venture into the TV space. TV if you will. And yeah, to have been called back to do a second season was so special because I was able to come back to the same character, the same world, the same space, the same, pretty much everything down to, I mean the majority of our show shoots on the soundstage. So it was like we never left and I was able to just dive even deeper into this character and into this story,” Hailee told Brooke Reese on Apple Music.
She continued, “Season two is so good. It’s just so exciting now too, also to have part one basically out there and now see how people are reacting to it and what parts of the show people are reacting to and play into that more in season two and hopefully further on.â€

The 23-year-old singer and actress debuted the visual on Tuesday (March 31), and it’s full of amazing fashion moments.
Hailee recently dished on how her new song perfectly summed up how she was feeling after a breakup.
“I kind of had a moment with myself where I decided that I wasn’t necessarily going to give myself a choice. I needed time to heal after a breakup. It had been a while since I’d been single, and I needed to kind of find myself again and find my footing and I kind of lost myself and I told myself I need at least a year before any of this again,” Hailee told Apple Music. “That was the whole ‘No more of this. No more I love you’s.’ I’m not one to throw that around, but I do fall very hard, very fast and this was a commitment to myself. I was like, I’ve got to take some time.”
“When this song came into my life, I was like, there’s no better way of articulating what I just said than in this song,” Hailee continued. “Of course, like you mentioned, we know the Annie Lennox ‘No More I Love You’s’ and it’s so iconic. You’ve created some memory to that along the way and I love that this record sort of resonates with different generations because of that, which I think is pretty special.â€
