Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert keep close together on the red carpet at the 2018 Steve Irwin Gala Dinner held at SLS Hotel on Saturday (May 5) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The dancing couple were joined by Bindi Irwin, her boyfriend Chandler Powell, and Modern Family‘s Nolan Gould, among others at the event, which aims to continue the late Steve Irwin‘s legacy and benefit conservation efforts.
“She is always looking beautiful,” Derek shared with ET while speaking of Hayley, who was by his side.
He adds that her dress was particularly “stunning. I mean she looks, she’s gorgeous. She’s a beautiful woman.”
Hayley returned his compliments, pointing out that Derek does indeed have the dreamiest eyes.
“They’re just like piercing,” she shared. “Piercing blue eyes.”
Hayley Erbert has been a staple on Dancing With The Stars for a handful of seasons now and we always look forward to seeing her perform.
Currently on the DWTS: Light Up The Night tour, the pro dancer headed to Instagram this week to open up about how she almost fell out of love with it, before finding her passion again.
“I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and from a very young age, I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life,” she starts. “In the past year, however, I have been really struggling to remember why I was passionate about it, I lost my spark so to speak.”
Hayley continues, “As the new year came in, I took time to really think about it.. Because dancing is my everyday job, I started treating it as exactly that. I forgot why for so many years I CHOSE to go to dance. Regardless of how my day went, I wanted to go because it was my release, it was the one consistent thing in my life that truly made me happy and continues to make me happy.”
“But dance has brought me so much more than happiness, I met some of my friends that I will have for life (even more than those that are tagged, insta only let me tag 20 people) and it lead me to the most amazing man,” she adds, speaking of boyfriend Derek Hough.
“I am so grateful for dance and all of its beautiful gifts. I want to thank my incredible friends and family for standing by me through this time in my life and guiding me to find my light again.”

Both Val and Jenna, and Derek and his longtime girlfriend, Hayley Erbert, headed off to the tropical vacation to celebrate the end of the 25th season of Dancing With the Stars, as well as to enjoy some down time.
Over the weekend, both couples enjoyed a movie on the beach, dune buggy riding, and cliff diving, plus an iguana photo opp, amongst other activities.
Derek also shared a super romantic moment with Hayley on the beach, but had to laugh when the resort spelled his name out wrong in the sand.
Lindsay Arnold took home her first mirrored ball trophy last night after winning Dancing With The Stars season 25 with partner Jordan Fisher — and the absolute first people to congratulate her where her fellow pros.
Taking to Instagram shortly after the winning team was announced, Val Chmerkovskiy praised Lindsay for her win.
“Congrats to Jordan, but oh man CONGRATS to Lindsay!” he wrote. “So hard earned, for so many seasons. This was a long time coming and way overdue, you’ve gone thru your ups and downs and I couldn’t be happier for you. Congrats girl! And Jordan you were aighhhht too I guess.”
“Congratulations @jordan_fisher for winning Season 25 and even bigger congratulations to @lindsarnold for winning her FIRST @dancingabc mirrorball!!! Uber talented couple led by an exceptionally gifted young pro, with a very bright future! Great show babe,” Maksim Chmerkovskiy sent his congrats to Lindsay.
Jenna Johnson, one of Lindsay‘s bestest friends, added her congrats next: “Man I love this girl. There is nobody more deserving and worthy of this incredible moment.”
Derek Hough and longtime girlfriend Hayley Erbert share a cute kiss underneath the tall Christmas Tree after The Americana at Brand Tree Lighting event on Thursday night (November 16) in Glendale, Calif.
Hayley, one of the troupe dancers on Dancing With The Stars, supported Derek at the event which he hosted, and even caught some video of the “Twas the Night Before Christmas” performance.
Derek “sat out this dance” and served as storybook narrator for the classic tale.
There was also a firework and falling snow spectacular at the end of the show when Santa arrived for the lighting of the 100-foot tall Christmas tree.
The 32-year-old dancer opted for a comfy costume and donned a bear suit while Hayley looked stunning while dressed up as Wonder Woman.
When Derek saw JJ‘s Jared Eng in his evil clown costume, he was shocked to realize who it was behind the makeup! “This is my absolutely worst nightmare. Oh my god!” he said in an Instagram story video he took with Jared.
After the party, Derek took to his Instagram to share a collection of photos from the party.
