Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for an explosive fifth season with a special two-hour premiere on December 1 at 8 p.m. EST.
“We’re so proud of the way that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has grown creatively every season,” said Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment. “The series is a top performer for us especially in delayed viewing where we see almost triple-digit increases. Season five is their strongest season yet, and we can’t wait for the fans to see it. We feel that the move to Friday, creating a ‘genre night’ on ABC, appeals to the show’s loyal fan base.”

Chloe Bennet is chic and sophisticated while posing on the carpet at the season three premiere of her hit show Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. held at the Pacific Theatre at The Grove on Thursday (September 23) in Los Angeles.
Chloe Bennet is wonderful in white at the 2013 Entertainment Weekly & ABC-TV Upfronts Party held at The General on Tuesday night (May 14) in New York City.
The 21-year-old actress was joined by co-star Iain De Caestecker who plays Leo Fitz in the upcoming series.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. summary: Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown.
That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Bennet).
