The CW Announces 'Stargirl' Season 2 Premiere Date, 'Riverdale' Return Gets Pushed Back & More!

The CW just revealed the premiere dates for quite a few shows!

The network’s announcement on Thursday (April 29) revealed that DC’s Stargirl will premiere it’s second season on Tuesday, August 10th at 8pm ET/PT.

It will be initially paired with Superman & Lois as it wraps up it’s first season. Then, Supergirl will take the place of Superman & Lois once again, as it returns for it’s final episodes on August 24th.

In addition, the return of Riverdale has been moved by a whole month. It was originally set to return on July 7th, but will now come back on August 11th.

The CW Reveals Spring Premiere Dates For 'Legends of Tomorrow,' 'Republic of Sarah' & More!

The CW has just revealed some midseason premiere dates!

It was announced that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, In The Dark and Dynasty will all return with new seasons this May.

Legends will premiere it’s upcoming sixth season on Sunday, May 2nd, at 8pm ET/PT. Batwoman will be move back to 9pm.

Dynasty will be returning on Friday, May 7th, at 9pm ET/PT, following a new episode of Charmed in it’s new 8pm time slot on Fridays.

In The Dark season three premieres on Wednesday, June 9th at 9pm ET/PT.

New shows Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah have also been given premiere dates.

Kung Fu will begin on Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm ET/PT, taking over for Riverdale, which will go on a pre-planned hiatus until July 7th.

The Republic of Sarah premieres on Monday, June 14th at 9pm ET/PT after a new episode of All American.

All episodes will of course be available to stream on The CW app the next day.

We are still waiting on the premiere date for the final season of Supergirl.

The CW Has Already Renewed 'Walker,' 'Riverdale' & 10 Other Shows!

The CW is issuing early renewals to many of it’s series!

The network just announced that 12 shows will be back for new seasons, according to Variety.

Among the early renewals include new show Walker, as well as Riverdale, The Flash, Legacies, Batwoman, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Nancy Drew, Roswell, New Mexico, In The Dark, Dynasty, and All American.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Roswell, New Mexico, In The Dark and Dynasty have yet to premiere their new seasons on the network.

“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season,” CW President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement.

“As The CW’s 2020-2021 season kicks into high gear, we are thrilled creatively with the direction of our first new shows out of the gate, Walker and Superman & Lois, that we wanted to order the additional episodes to complete their first seasons, and we are particularly pleased with the huge success of the launch of Walker, which debuted as our most watched series premiere in 5 years.”

The CW has also ordered five more episodes for Walker‘s current first season, and two more episodes of Superman & Lois, which premieres later this month.

Supergirl's Sixth Season Pushed Back To Midseason Due To Melissa Benoist's Pregnancy

The schedule for the 2020/2021 season for The CW was announced today (May 14) and there was one show missing from the lineup.

Supergirl has been put on hold a bit longer, due in part to star Melissa Benoist‘s pregnancy, THR reports.

The series is being pushed to premiere mid-season, whenever that happens in 2021, to allow time for Melissa to return after maternity leave.

Taking Supergirl‘s Sunday night time slot is Charmed‘s third season. The reboot is returning to it’s original time, Sunday nights at 9/8c.

Other shows returning mid-season include fellow DC Comic/Arrowverse title DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, In the Dark and Roswell, New Mexico, as well as new series Kung Fu and Republic of Sarah.

The CW Announces When 'Riverdale', 'The Flash' & More Will Return!

The CW just came through with some good news!

The network revealed when it’s shows will return with new episodes, after starting to air re-runs a couple of weeks ago.

Shows unaffected by the halt on production causing new episodes to be pushed back were Dynasty, Roswell New Mexico and Charmed, which have still been airing on schedule.

Riverdale will return on April 15th with the season four musical episode of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

In The Dark‘s second season wasn’t supposed to premiere until the end of May, but has been pushed up, and will now premiere in Legacies‘ time slot, starting April 16th at 9pm ET.

CW Renews 'Riverdale', 'Legacies', 'Black Lightning', 'The Flash' & More For New Seasons

The CW is bringing back all of their current shows!

While Arrow and Supernatural are signing off this season, along with The 100, the network announced today that new shows Batwoman and Nancy Drew will be back for new seasons for the 2020-2021 season.

The Flash, Riverdale, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Supergirl, All American, Charmed, Dynasty, In the Dark, Legacies and Roswell, New Mexico were also picked up for additional seasons on the network.

The only show left out was Katy Keene, a spinoff of Riverdale.

However, the show starring Lucy Hale, was given 13 additional scripts for it’s freshman season.

'Roswell, New Mexico', 'All American', & 'The 100' Renewed For New Seasons on The CW

We’re so excited that all these shows were just renewed on The CW!

Freshmen shows In the Dark, Roswell, New Mexico, and All American have all been greenlit for sophomore seasons, according to THR.

Meanwhile, The 100 is set to return for a season seven.

The series’ join previously announced Arrow, Black Lightning, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, Legacies, Riverdale, Supergirl and Supernatural in the 2019-2020 season for the network.

Arrow and Supernatural will also air their final seasons in the upcoming year.
