The web series is a mini-spinoff of Nailed It, where stars of Netflix’s shows and movies test their baking skills and copy picture perfect holiday treats.
Isabela Merced is giving everyone a behind the scenes look at her “Papi” music video!
The 18-year-old singer and actress took the time during rehearsals to make sure that every detail in the video were going to be just right.
“The behind the scenes of the PAPI video is now premiering on @billboardlatin 🔥 All of the hard work we put into this music video was WORTH EVERY BIT and I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out ♥ï¸,” she shared on Instagram.

The 18-year-old singer and actress opened up about the importance of showing off her culture in the visual.
“Different elements of my Peruvian culture, from the coast to the Amazons, are incorporated into every aspect of my music, wardrobe, dancing, and storytelling of my videos,†she says.
Isabela adds, “The ‘Papi’ music video included a modern twist of choreography and wardrobe elements from a Peruvian dance called Marinera, such as the faldas and the pañuelos. The props in the video were inspired from a Peruvian tradition, the Diablada. I want to introduce everyone to the rich culture of my family’s heritage.”
The upcoming film centers on a group of high school seniors, who find their friendships and love lives colliding thanks to a stranded pop star, a stolen keg, a squad of competitive dancers, a mysterious woman covered in tin foil, and an epic party at the local Waffle Town after a snowstorm hits a small midwestern town on Christmas Eve.

Isabela Merced just dropped her brand new single, “Papi”, and it’s such a bop!
The 18-year-old singer and actress, who just changed her name, released the new track to her fans this week.
“It’s a blend of everything that inspires me,†Isabela shared about her new music and single. “I’m very influenced by Latin music like salsa, reggaeton, cumbia, and bachata. I’m experimenting with instruments and sounds from Peru, because they’re beautiful yet untouched by the mainstream.”
She adds, “There’s also an energy and edge that comes from urban and rhythmic. It’s a new take on Latin pop with my own Peruvian spice and attitude. I’m welcoming everyone into my story.â€
