'We Can Be Heroes' Drops Official Trailer, Gets Christmas Premiere Date - Watch Now

The official trailer for the upcoming film We Can Be Heroes has been released!

The new movie is in the same vein as Sky Kids and The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl, complete with appearances from the latter duo, who are now parents.

Here’s a synopsis: When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their kids are whisked away to a government safe house. But whip-smart tween Missy Moreno (Yaya Gosselin) will stop at nothing to rescue her superhero dad, Marcus Moreno (Pedro Pascal).

Missy teams up with the rest of the superkids to escape their mysterious government babysitter, Ms. Granada (Priyanka Chopra Jonas). If they’re going to save their parents, they’ll have to work together by using their individual powers — from elasticity to time control to predicting the future — and form an out-of-this-world team.

We Can Be Heroes is directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also directed Sky Kids and The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl. It also stars Christian Slater, Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook, Vivien Blair, and Haley Reinhart, as well as Akira Akbar, Brittany Perry-Russell, Dylan Henry Lau, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom and Quinton Johnson.

The film will be out on Christmas Day (December 25) on Netflix!
