Jake Paul Gets Candid About Tana Mongeau Split: 'I Fell Out of Love'

Jake Paul is opening up about his relationship with Tana Mongeau.

The 22-year-old social media star just announced he and Tana are taking a break from their marriage, which he feels is “better and healthier” for both of them.

“I fell in love with the sport of boxing and I kind of fell out of love with Tana,” Jake admitted to Seventeen.

He continued, “Our lives are so fast paced and crazy, especially in the world we’re living in…I don’t know what the future holds. I just wish the best for her and it might be down the line, it might not be.”

Despite the split, things are all good between the pair.

“It’s going great. I think we’re better off as friends and I think it was like a weight lifted off our shoulders when we announced that we were splitting ways,” Jake concluded.

Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul have decided to end their marriage… for now at least.

The two social media stars took to their Instagram accounts on Thursday night (January 2) to announce that they’re taking a break, but things seem to be very amicable between them and maybe they’ll get back together one day. At the very least, they’re committed to being best friends.

“ok i don’t rly know how to do a ‘we’re taking a break’ post & this is weird as f–k… i’m happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this- but for right now we both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives… i’ll never know what the future holds and i will always love Jake and everything we did,” Tana wrote in her post.

She continued, “i’m grateful to know throughout this i’ve made a best friend for life & found someone to do life with when no one understood me. here’s to 2020, working on us, and my new Lamborghini since i get half of everything! no need for crazy speculations- this is coming from a place of nothing but love. i love u Jakey. thank u for this past year. ❤️.”

Tana Mongeau Admits Her Marriage to Jake Paul Isn't as Great as it Seems - Watch

Tana Mongeau isn’t holding anything back.

The 21-year-old YouTuber took to YouTube to post a video titled “the truth about everything” where she revealed that her marriage to Jake Paul isn’t as great as it appears to be.

“I am so unhappy with the way my relationship looks in the public eye, and I’ve done so much pretending I don’t care when I do,” Tana says in the video. “I did so much of being the “cool girl” and not “caring” and I think I just put so much of myself into Jake that I lost myself.”

“It was the best feeling in the world to be so on the same page with someone, it was like a drug,” Tana said about when she and Jake first started dating. “Something that was making me the happiest, most motivated, most inspired I’d ever been was also simultaneously helping me succeed and achieve so many dreams I’d had.”

Tana then went on to explain how not sharing her true feelings with Jake has gotten worse since they got married.

“Everyone thought it for clout and fame, and that made it so much worse for me mentally,” she said. “After me and Jake got married, I feel like everything changed.”

Tana and Jake married back in July after a whirlwind relationship. Not long the wedding, Jake was spotted hanging out with his ex-girlfriend Erika Costell again.

“I felt like I was opening my phone every day to something that just broke me further,” Tana said. “Finding out about the Erika s–t on Twitter killed me, because Jake and I had so many conversations where he like villainized her, and I spent so much time trying to be everything she wasn’t.”

Despite all of this, Tana isn’t putting the blame on Jake, but blames herself with not being more honest with her feelings to her husband.

“Jake and I both have these psycho busy lives, and trying to fit each other in just gets harder and harder, and so many things keep hurting me further,” Tana shared. “I don’t ever want to be on bad terms [with him], I don’t ever want to hate each other.”

As of right now, Tana says she and Jake are still together.

Tana Mongeau On Jake Paul's New Song About His Ex: 'That's What You Do With Music'

Tana Mongeau is opening up about Jake Paul‘s new song “These Days“, which is about his ex Alissa Violet.

The 21-year-old YouTuber dished that she doesn’t think it’s a big deal because that’s just what you do with music.

“It’s interesting because when Jake first told me about his new song, ‘These Days’, the concept of it wasn’t concerning to me at all because that’s what you do with music,” Tana told Hollywood Life. “I have so many upcoming songs that are about so many exes, that are about so many people that have been in my life, so many f–ked up things that I’ve gone through in my life. That’s so important. Especially when you’re on social media, you can’t trust people, you don’t get to let out these things.”

“For him to let out bottled up emotion and turn it into art, it’s so beautiful to me. That’s cool,” she added. “It’s almost more hard, the public’s scrutiny and perception. I didn’t even think twice about him releasing ‘These Days’.”

Tana also shared that she has no beef or ill will towards Alissa.

“I love Alissa, she’s fun. She’s been through some crazy sh-t, she’s like a warrior, she’s fire. It’s a weird balancing act because I feel like people want me to [play into the narrative].”

I am the precedent for internet stars learning the sport of boxing.”

“For me Gibz is merely an inadequate stepping stone on the path to avenge my brothers loss against KSI, but before you have dessert you have to finish your veggies,” he continued. “This for me is more than a fight, it’s a chance to show the world who Jake Paul truly is and that anyone with a dream and a vision can overcome adversity and rise like a titan. Jake Paul Shares Why He Doesn't Think Tana Mongeau Should Have Won Creator of the Year at Streamys 2019 & She Agrees

Jake Paul made a somewhat controversial statement on his brother Logan Paul‘s podcast Impaulsive.

The 22-year-old YouTuber said that he doesn’t think his wife Tana Mongeau should have won the Creator of the Year award at the 2019 Streamys.

“Let’s be honest, the people winning these awards — no offense — like, they’re not actually like who should be winning the awards most of the time,” he said. “MrBeast should have won that award.”

Tana even agrees with her hubby, and in her post about winning, she said that she didn’t think she should have won either.

“heard what he’s saying. beast did something this year that changed the world & deserved it above anyone. i agree & respect honesty. i’m very lucky to have fans that voted the way they did,” she wrote on Twitter after the podcast came out.

“as much as i am grateful for this award, i do not and never will feel like ‘creator of the year’,” she wrote on Instagram after the awards ceremony. “to be honest i still feel i should be mailing this award to David or Mr. Beast or Emma.”
